Abstract

The device is intended for storing butter or margarine and cutting off measured amounts. It comprises a container with rectangular cross-section to receive a standard pack without the wrapper, and having a bottom (3) which is vertically movable by turning a knob (4) on the outside, and a slidable lid (11) with handle (12) at the top to cut off an amount indicated (10) by a graduation (9) around the knob. The knob rotates a transverse shaft with pinion meshing with a vertical tooth rack (5) on the underside of the bottom, and the shaft carries a ratchet wheel engaged by a pawl. FL.

De praktimar bestaat uit een balkvormig huis met vierkant grondvlak. Bouwstof : harde plastiek, inox of vercroomd staal. In de balk bevindt zich een beweeglijke bodem, op en neer bewogen door een draaiknop met as en tandwiel en tandlat. Vooraan wordt het toestel afgesloten door een schuif welke echter tevens dienst doet als mes.

  
Het toestel dient voor het hygiënisch verpakken en bewaren van margarine en boter. In deze vorm uitgetekend voor kubusvormige margarines met ribbe 6,5 cm, wat overeenkomt met een massa van 250 g. Het toestel kan tevens gebruikt worden om de margarine af te snijden met de schuif. Een aangepaste schaalverdeling maakt van het toestel een meetinstrument.
