On pourra commencer plateau au sol, puis en progressions dans les amplitudes et rapidités de basculements du plateau.

  
L'appareillage se constitue donc:
- d'un plateau circulaire à base sphèrique, <EMI ID=3.1> 
- d'un réglage en hauteur de ce montage,
- d'un lien réglable pour le genou,
- d'un lien réglable pour la cheville.

  
Il a la particularité de:
- créer un équilibre précaire pour le sujet qui s'y trouve fixé en station unipodale,
- et de mettre ainsi en jeu ses réflexes proprioceptifs et plus particulièrement au niveau du genou.
