Abstract
The detection is installed between the two panes of a double glazed window frame. An electronic control unit at the top of the frame causes a transmitting diode to emit a beam of IR light towards the bottom of the hermetically sealed volume enclosed by the glass. The beam, which is at a slight angle to the vertical, is reflected back to the top of the frame by a mirror. It is then repeatedly reflected between this mirror and another at the top until it is received and detected by a light-sensitive diode at the other side of the frame. Anyone breaking the window, and trying to enter will break the beam raising an alarm.
Description
- Plaatsbaar in beweegbare ramen.

7 = spiegel

<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID = 1.1> The invention is a modernization of multi-glazed glass windows which has the function of detecting penetrating objects. It is therefore a safety system located in a window.
In practical terms, the system consists of a light emitter and receiver which are arranged such that the light receiver receives the light emitted by the light emitter by reflecting the light between two mirrors. The mirrors are mounted between the glazing on two sides of the glass. This creates a light curtain between the glazing. The exclusivity consists in that
the light curtain is located between the glazing of the window and is thus hermetically sealed from
the atmosphere.
Free from external influences, the light curtain is located between the glazing and thus controls the viewing area of the glazing. An interruption of the light beam between transmitter and receiver causes an unspecified effect that allows an alarm system
to operate.
Advantages over existing systems.
- Compact and light weight.
- Can be placed in movable windows.
- Not affected by smoke, moisture, grease or weather conditions.
- Not affected by insects.

4 = hermetically sealed space between the glazing
5 = light beam that forms the light curtain
6 = electronic control and control unit
7 = mirror
8 = mirror The electronic unit (6) controls the emitting diode (2) which generates an invisible light beam (5). This beam is reflected by the mirrors (7 and 8) and thus creates a light curtain that controls the see-through area of the glazing. The receiving diode (3) transmits the presence of the beam to the control unit (6). When the light beam is interrupted, the control unit produces an effect that triggers an alarm system.

Decision:
The invention includes safety equipment with a light curtain placed in a window. The exclusivity consists in that the light curtain senses the space between the glazing and is thus hermetically sealed from the atmosphere.
Features of the invention.
1 [deg.] A safety detection system consisting of one or
multiple light transmitters and one or more light receivers arranged in such a way that a light beam reaches the receiver by means of reflection between two or more mirrors with the
<EMI ID = 2.1>
partially located between the glass of a multi-glazed window.
2 [deg.] A system idem at point I with the characteristic that it
the light curtain is wholly or partly located in the hermetically sealed space between the glazing.
3 [deg.] A system idem to points I and 2, characterized in that
if the light beam between the transmitter and receiver is interrupted, an unspecified effect is caused which allows the activation of an alarm system.
