<EMI ID=5.1>
<EMI ID=6.1>

The subject of the present invention is a monobloc assembly allowing the connection to a water pipe, in a compact form, of a pressure reducer, of a water treatment element, of a non-return valve, a trap and a pressure drop indicator; it also relates to the water treatment element intended for such an assembly.
In many modern installations, in addition to the non-return valve, use is made of a pressure reducer, made in particular essential due to the use of safety valves operating at pressures of the order of magnitude of those existing in the distribution network. Likewise,
the use of water treatment units is increasing
more in domestic installations, and it's interesting
provides for such installations, treatment elements making it possible to combat at least the lime deposit.
The invention therefore relates to a one-piece assembly ensuring, in the form of a compact assembly, the assembly of a pressure reducer, a non-return valve, a vent valve, an indicator of loss of load and a water treatment element, the design of which allows the water treatment element to be switched off without requiring the interruption of the distribution of water in the installation, while keeping the pressure reducing valve and the non-return valve in service.
In addition to its convenience of placement and use, the one-piece assembly of the invention allows the pre-assembly of
all elements in the factory, which saves a lot of time and labor.
Finally, the subject of the invention is also an element
water treatment, whose special design allows easy monitoring and rapid replacement of the material
treatment.
These objects are achieved, according to the invention, by providing a one-piece assembly for water pipe which comprises, mounted on a common support, a pressure reducer, a water treatment element, a trap, a loss of water indicator. load and a non-return valve, the support comprising means for controlling, in at least two positions, the fluid circuit, means which establishes, in one position, the communication between the pressure reducer and the non-return valve through of the treatment element, and in another position, direct communication between the pressure reducer and the non-return valve, the treatment element then being switched off, the control means not interrupting the passage of the fluid in neither of the above two positions.
The invention will be better understood by referring to the description at the same time as to the accompanying drawing, the single figure of which represents, in section and in elevation, only by way of example, a preferred embodiment of the invention.
According to this embodiment, a one-piece assembly 1 comprises, mounted on a common support 2, a pressure reducer 3, a non-return valve 4, a pressure drop indicator 5, a trap 6 and a treatment element 7.
The support 2 has on its external face 8 a connection base 9, on which is mounted by means of a seal 10 the pressure reducer 3 and a connection base 11, on which is mounted by the through a seal 12 the non-return valve 4 and a pressure drop indicator 5. This support 2 has on its opposite external face 13 a frustoconical connection base 14 for the treatment element 7.
In the support 2 is formed a chamber 15, containing a control means 16 of the fluid circuit.
According to the embodiment shown in the drawing,
the chamber 15 is of oblong shape with a substantially constant cross section and, more precisely, of a substantially cylindrical shape. This room 15 is delimited
at its two ends by plugs 17, 17 'ensuring a tight closure of the chamber.
The fluid circuit control means consists of a rod 18 integral with two pistons 19, 19 'spaced from one another; the rod 18 passes right through the chamber 15, passes hermetically through nozzles 20, 20 'to end, outside of the support 2, by actuation buttons
21, 21 '. The trap 6 consists of a groove in the
rod 18. The chamber 15 is respectively connected to the connection base 9 by a conduit 22, to the connection base 11 by a conduit 23 and to the connection base 14 by conduits 24 and 25.
The conduits 22 and 23 terminate in the middle part of the chamber 15, while the conduits 24 and 25 terminate
on either side of the middle part, in the end regions of the chamber.
The spacing of the pistons 19, 19 'and the location of the conduits in the chamber are such that the space provided between said pistons 19, 19' allows the communication of two successive conduits in the chamber, the other two conduits opening out of the space between the pistons.
The length of the groove 6 and the space separating the
said groove of the seal 26 are such that they allow the setting
in communication with the conduit 24 with the atmosphere.
The non-return valve is surmounted by a pressure drop indication device 5. This device consists of a membrane 27 pushed back on a base 28 by a spring 29. On either side of the membrane 27 are two bedrooms
30 and 31. Room 30 is in communication by channel 32 with room 33. Room 33 is in communication by
channel 38 partially visible with channel 24.
Room 31 is in communication via channel 34 with the room
35. The chamber 35 is in communication via the partially visible channel 36 with the chamber 15.
The upper face of the membrane 27 supports an indicator 37. The chamber 30 is closed by an opaque cover provided with a transparent graduated window 39.
The treatment element 7 consists of a basket 40 filled with water treatment material 41 arranged in
a casing 42. The casing 42 is open at its upper end
43 and engages in the fixing base 14 under the thrust of the sawtooth thread 44, the seal 45 being in intimate contact with the frustoconical flare of the base 14.
The basket 40 is formed by a permeable side wall 40, a permeable bottom 46 and a waterproof cover 47, the entire basket being traversed by a channel 48 with an waterproof wall.
In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the permeability of the side wall and the bottom of the basket is ensured by the presence of orifice 49 and 49 '.
On the bottom of the basket is formed a circular lip
50 which comes into contact, via a seal 51 of the casing 42. This lip thus constitutes, when
the basket 40 is engaged in the casing 42, a watertight partition separating, around the bottom of the casing 42, an intake space 52 of the water to be treated from an evacuation space 53
treated water. The side wall 54 is surrounded on its upper part by a filter element.
The upper side wall of the basket is capped
of a permeable support 55 supporting the filter element 56.
The support 55 consists of two rings 57 and 57 '.
These rings are connected by rods 58 in the manner of a
squirrel cage. The rods are spaced from the basket 40, creating
a free space 59. The rods 58 are side by side but separated by a space sufficient to allow the passage of the fluid. The set of rods 58 forms the support for the filter element. These rods are made of a material such that they are elastic over their entire length.
The sealing of the filter element is obtained by
<EMI ID = 1.1>
The bottom of the permeable basket is connected to a chamber 61 by a tube 48.
The impermeable wall 47 supports the secondary filter element 62 by means of open-cell cells 63. The filter element 62 is retained by open-cell cells 64 of the sealed cover 65. The sealed wall 47 is pierced with an orifice circular intended to receive the tube 48.
<EMI ID = 2.1>
container with the container 40 and above the orifices 49.
The seal 67 ensures the separation of the conduits
24 and 25.
The operation of the device is as follows, assuming that the control means 16 of the fluid circuit
either in the position shown in solid lines in the drawing.
The water coming from the distribution, after having seen its pressure reduced by passage through the pressure reducer 3, is brought by the conduit 22 into the chamber 15. The piston 19 constituting a fluid tight barrier, this water flows by the conduit 24 until it enters the intake space 68 of the treatment element 7. It passes through the filter element
56 and enters the space 59. Under the influence of the pressure drop, the filter element bends the rods 58 which when
the thrust will be maximum will see their stroke stopped by the wall of the basket 40 along the dotted line 69.
From space 59 the water flows through the peripheral orifices 49 into the basket 40 where it comes into contact with the treatment material 41. It comes out through the orifices
49 'and enters the central tube 48 and reaches the chamber 61 where it is transferred by the open cell cells 63 to the secondary filter element 62 which it passes through and is directed by the open cell cells 64 to the conduit
25. The filtering element 62 makes it possible to stop the passage of small particles of treatment material 41 which could have escaped through the orifices 49 '.
The treated water is routed through line 25 to
the right half of room 15.
The position of the piston 19 allows the flow of treated water only to the conduit 23, from where it is routed, through the non-return valve 4, to the installation.
It should be noted that in this operating mode, only the piston 19 plays an active role and, therefore, in the position shown in solid lines in the drawing, the sealing by
<EMI ID = 3.1>
your.
When the circulation of water is interrupted, the force exerted by the pressure drop ceases and the rods 58 under the effect of their elasticity return to their original position and the filter element is suddenly shaken thus allowing a partial elimination of the cake formed. on the surface of the filter element; which considerably increases the service life of the filter element.
The excess of this cake rushes into the calm zone 70 called the settling chamber.
In parallel with the process described above, the intake water enters the conduit 24 into the chamber 31 through the channels 34 and 36. The treated water from the conduit 25 enters the chamber 30 through the channels 32 and 38.
The pressure in the conduit 25 and the chamber 30 is
<EMI ID = 4.1>
pressure drop due to treatment elements and channels. The pressure drop due to the channels is compensated on the part
<EMI ID = 5.1>
When the filter elements 56 and / or 62 are clogged, the tension of the spring 29 is no longer sufficient to compensate for the pressure drop and the membrane 27 is raised bringing the index finger
37 in front of the transparent graduated window 39 thus indicating
to the observer the state of clogging of the filtering elements.
If it is desired to switch off the processing element 7, the control means 16 are brought into the position shown in dotted lines in the drawing.
Therefore, the piston 19 comes to occupy the position 19 "
<EMI ID = 6.1>
is established between the conduits 22 and 23, while the processing element 7 is switched off. Indeed, the piston in position 19 "prevents access to conduit 24 and the piston in position
<EMI ID = 7.1>
put in communication with the atmosphere by the groove 6 according to
the dotted representation on the drawing; allowing
easy disassembly of the processing element 7.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the casing 42 and the basket 40 are made of a transparent material, this arrangement making it possible to monitor the level of consumable treatment material contained in the basket.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the basket 40 is produced in the form of a disposable cartridge, containing the treatment material.
The invention has been described and illustrated simply by way of nonlimiting example, and it goes without saying that numerous modifications can be made to the invention without departing from its spirit.
