Abstract
The flexible sheet is intended for covering car windows in winter, masking areas during paint spraying and similar applications. It has one surface provided with a pattern of intersecting ribs such that the spaces between the ribs act as suction cups to hold the sheet by vacuum when it is pressed on the surface to be protected. It may be available in continuous lengths to permit cutting off of piece of the desired size. The other surface may be provided with projections to facilitate removal after use. (Fl).
Description
De uitvinding heeft betrekking op een vel die door aandrukken op een effen oppervlak kleeft en daardoor het oppervlak afschermt van b.v.b. sneeuw, rijm, vuil, beschadiging enz. en gemakkelijk afneembaar is en eventueel herbruikbaar.
Het s'winters afsch ermen van autoramen van buitenstaande auto's is een vervelende karwei.Bij het karosserie, huis enz. verfspuiten is het afschermen van nevenliggende niette-spuiten oppervlakken een tijdrovende operatie.Tijdelijke wegwerpverpakkingen kunnen onekonomisch zijn.

Gezien het fabriceren van plastiek vel, eventueel versterkt of voorzien van regelmatige inkepingen, zelfs luchtbellen, een gekende techniek is, is de fabrikatiekost relatief laag.
Fig. 1 is een voorbeeld van een afschermvel volgens de uitvinding waarbij 1 het soepel vel is, eventueel versterktmet een draadnet 4 en mogelijke aftrekmogelijkheden 3 . Het vel is in kleinere oppervlakken verdeeld door de zuignapjesribben 5 volgens een voorbeeld van een dwarsdoorsnede AA' en een voorbeeld van een langsdoorsnede BB' met het zuigeffekt door het aandrukken van de luchtkamer 6 ( aangepaste voetvorm en verhoudingen )

Protecting car windows from outside cars in the winter is a tedious task. Shielding adjacent non-spray surfaces in the bodywork, house, etc. is a time-consuming operation. Temporary disposable packaging can be uneconomical.
