"Verpakking voor lucifers" De uitvinding heeft betrekking op een verpakking voor lucifers, welke voorzien is van een wrijvingsvlak
of dergelijke voor het ontsteken van de lucifers.
Thans worden de lucifer s meestal,hetzij los in doosjes met een schuifdeksel waarop dan het wrijvingsvlak voorzien, hetzij onderling met elkaar verbonden in een mapje met op een omgeplooide rand ervan het wrijvingsvlak, verpakt.
Deze beide uitvoeringsvormen vertonen bepaalde nadelen die zowel van economische als van praktische
aard zijn.
Inderdaad, de in doosjes los verpakte lucifers dienen een minimumlengte en -doorsnede te vertonen voor hun manipulatie bij het ontsteken. Bovendien gebeurt het vaak dat het wrijvingsopppervlak onbruikbaar wordt, voordat al de lucifers verbruikt zijn.
Een belangrijk bijkomend nadeel van de in een mapje verpakte lucifers is dat deze gemakkelijk afbreken en aldus uit het mapje vallen.
De uitvinding heeft onder andere tot doel aan deze verschillende nadelen te verhelpen en bovendien een vanuit publicitair oogpunt zeer aantrekkelijke verpakking voor lucifers voor te stellen.
Tot dit doel. bevindt het wrijvingsvlak voor het onsteken van de lucifers zich binnen een ruimte waarin deze laatste ondergebracht zijn en is dit wrijvingsvlak zodanig geplaatst dat bij het wegnemen van een lucifer
uit deze ruimte, het kopje ervan wrijft over dit wrijvingsvlak en automatisch ontstoken wordt.
In een bijzondere uitvoeringsvorm van de uitvinding vertoont de verpakking een reeks compartimenten
in elk van dewelke een lucifer ondergebra cht wordt en waarin zich genoemd wrijvingsoppervlak bevindt, zodanig dat bij het wegnemen van een lucifer uit een bepaald

vinding zijn de lucifers elk afzonderlijk door wanden
van elkaar gescheiden.
Andere bijzonderheden en voordelen van de uitvinding zullen blijken uit de hiernavolgende beschrijving van enkele typische uitvoeringsvormen van de uitvinding deze beschrijving wordt enkel als voorbeeld gegeven en beperkt de uitvinding niet.
Figuur 1 is een perspectiefaanzicht van een bijzondere uitvoeringsvorm van een verpakking voor lucifers volgens de uitvinding. Figuur 2 is een gedeeltelijke dwarsdoorsnede van de uitvoeringsvorm volgens figuur 1. Figuur 3 is een bovenaanzicht, met gedeeltelijke doorsnede, van een andere uitvoeringsvorm van een verpakking voor lucifers volgens de uitvinding. Figuur 4 is,een doorsnede volgens de lijn IV-IV van figuur 3.

Algemeen bestaat de uitvinding erin,een verpakking voor lucifers voor te stellen welke gekenmerkt is door
het feit dat het wrijvingsvlak zich in kontakt bevindt
met het staafje van de lucifers, en zodanig geplaatst is
in de ruimte waar de lucifers zich bevinden dat bij het wegnemen van een lucifer uit deze ruimte het kopje ervan steeds wrijft over dit wrijvingsoppervlak en au tomatisch ontstoken wordt.
Volgens de uitvinding is de verpakking zodanig uitgevoerd en bevindt zich het wrijvingsvlak op een zodanige plaats dat een lucifer enkel uit de verpakking genomen kan worden door met een voldoende druk over het wrijvingsvlak te schuren dat hij automatisch ontstoken wordt.
Een belangrijk kenmerk van de uitvinding bestaat er dus i : dat de relatieve stand van het ontvlambare
kopje van de lucifer, de door dit kopje op het wrijvingsvlak uitgeoefende druk en de over dit vlak door dit laatste afgelegde weg totaal onafhankelijk zijn van de persoon
die de lucifer gebruikt. Dit is zeker niet het geval bij de hierboven geciteerde bestaande verpakkingen waar het
al dan niet ontsteken van de lucifers afhankelijk is

Al deze kenmerken en voordelen zullen concreter naar vóór komen uit de beschrijving van de in de figuren 1 tot 4 voorgestelde specifieke uitvoeringsvormen van een verpakking voor lucifers volgens de uitvinding.
In figuur 1 wordt een verpakking met lucifers voorgesteld welke gevormd is uit een dichtvouwbare plaat 1 welke bestaat uit drie opeenvolgende luiken 2,3 en 4. Deze luiken zijn van elkaar gescheiden door

Dit prismavormig lichaam bestaat uit twee tegenoverliggende platen 8 en 9 waartussen zich een gegolfd blad 10 bevindt en met de platen 8 en 9 tussen de opeenvolgende golvingen een reeks compartimenten 11 bepaalt.In elk' van deze compartimenten wordt een lucifer

Een dergelijke verpakking kan vooral van nut zijn wanneer men in een minimum aan ruimte een maximum aan lucifers wil verpakken. In een meer specifieke uitvoeringsvorm zijn de compartimenten met de erin ondergebrachte lucifers volledig waterdicht en sluiten ze dus de lucifers volledig in, in tegenstelling met hetgeen het geval is in de uitvoeringsvorm volgens de figuren 1 en 2.
Ten einde,deze lucifers aldus op een gemakkelijke wijze uit hun overeenkomstige compartimenten te kunnen

In deze stripverpakking bevindt zich dus het wrijvingsoppervlak 14 in de nabijheid van de doorprikbare wand 25.
Zij nog vermeld dat volgens de uitvinding, de opening 20 op een zeer nuttige manier aangewend kan worden voor het ophangen in opengevouwen stand van de verpakking volgens figuur 1 tegen een wand of dergelijke in de keuken
<EMI ID=19.1> in ontstoken stand uit zijn overeenkomstig compartiment te trekken. Immers,bij de bekende traditionele verpakkingen voor lucifers dient men steeds van beide handen gebruik te maken voor het ontsteken van een lucifer.
De uitvinding is natuurlijk geenszins beperkt tot de hierboven beschreven uitvoeringsvormen en binnen het raam van de octrooiaanvrage kunnen meerdere verande-

Nowadays, the matches are usually packed loosely in boxes with a sliding lid on which the friction surface is provided, or mutually connected in a folder with the friction surface on its folded edge.
Both of these embodiments have certain drawbacks that are both economic and practical
nature.
Indeed, the matches loosely packed in boxes must have a minimum length and diameter for their manipulation in ignition. In addition, it often happens that the friction surface becomes unusable before all the matches have been used up.
An important additional disadvantage of the matches packed in a folder is that they break off easily and thus fall out of the folder.
