Avertir en cas d'accident, c-à-d se faire remarquer rapidement.

  
Cela sert pour les autres conducteurs qui par ce signal instantané ont le temps d'éviter un nouvel accident pour eux et encore pour celui déjà accidenté.

  
Le système est d'autant plus intéressant lorsque la visibilité est faible (pluie, chute de neige, nuit, brouillard, etc...).

  
L'avertisseur éviterait ou limiterait les fameux carambolages sur autoroutes, par temps de brouillard.

  
Le système éviterait la gravité des accidents dus aux chocs des autres véhicules qui viennent s'emboutir. Il limiterait les dégats matériels et surtout corporels : les blessures seraient moins fréquentes et moine graves, il y aurait moins de tués sur les routes.

  
Une autre utilité du système : il sert aussi d'avertissement pour appeler à l'aide pour l'accidenté qui peut être blessé (coma, coincé, éjecté, etc...).
