<EMI ID=7.1>

<EMI ID=9.1>
Men zal eveneens de vorm, samenstelling, materiaalsoort en-afmetingen

"Method for realizing liquid crystal read units with integrated control unit and read units thus obtained."
The invention relates to a new method for the

crystal with integrated driver circuit, the object of this method is to realize a unit at a low cost price, and such that a directly usable system is created which can control a large number of reading elements by means of a few connection points. Moreover, the complete unit presents itself in a very compact form, more particularly with a small thickness.
More specifically, the intended units contemplated by the invention are intended for any kind of industrial application, domestic or otherwise, where the information to be indicated may be of very different form.

Appropriate for electrically connecting contacted liquid crystal readings and printed circuit boards or

Counts the electrical connection between a so-called integrated circuit, a custom printed circuit or ceramic substrate, and a contacted glass plate, as used, for example, in modern electronic equipment or computers. In these specific cases, an insulating support is used, provided

The formation is formed by an adapted bonding of wire or elastic material, eg conductive paint or conductive rubber, and on the other hand between the pattern and the readout also by conductive rubber or metal strips, all this by an adapted technique. The whole will not be thicker than twice the thickness of the actual reading without the integrated drive. The rubber connection between <EMI ID = 5.1>

It is only for the sole purpose of properly demonstrating every importance of the problem to which the method of the invention provides an amazing solution.
This solution is mainly based on the fact that for the integrated control unit a thin one is used
insulating carrier used which has an adapted conductive

the whole being connected to the contacts of an integrated circuit by means of an adapted conductive connection. The control unit thus formed is then connected, for example, with conductive rubber, to the liquid crystal reading unit
and the whole is held together by, for example, a metal cover. In principle, all this can be achieved by any suitable means.
In the preferred embodiment, this integrated reading unit can be realized by applying integrated circuits to a glass epoxy plate and then connecting the whole to the actual readout by means of alternative conductive rubber bands and holding it together by a metal cover which at the same time gives the necessary mechanical strength. .
In a manner as general as possible, the method according to the invention consists of: the realization of a

tigen on the aforementioned carriers, on one side or two sides of a full or partial electrical conductor pattern of micrometric thickness; optionally bringing this conductor pattern with its carrier into a desired shape; optionally placing different partial conductor patterns together; placing one or more integrated circuits on this conductor pattern; electrically connecting the conductor pattern and the liquid crystal reading unit; mechanically holding the whole together by means of a metal cover.
In application of this general method, a unit reading unit or, in other words, the simplest unit will be performed starting from a series of conductor tracks constituting an electrical pattern, and which are attached in some adapted way
on an insulating support. An integrated circuit is then suitably applied to this and the contact points arranged for this purpose are connected to a reading element based on liquid crystals.
It will of course be possible to increase the number of elements to be controlled indefinitely, insofar as the technologies available allow this. One will also like the shape, composition, material type and dimensions

The invention is not limited to an embodiment or to a known or unknown means for the realization of read units with integrated driving circuit. It is thus only as an example for the sole purpose of improving the characteristics of the method and of the construction according to the invention. to highlight that below
