<EMI ID=1.1>
Le brevet 864.234 décrit une toiture composée de
<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>
<EMI ID=5.1>
<EMI ID=7.1>
<EMI ID=8.1>
<EMI ID=9.1>
<EMI ID=10.1>

ROOF AND MOUNTING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to improvements
<EMI ID = 1.1>
Patent 864,234 describes a roof composed of
<EMI ID = 2.1>
linked together by removable association means, comprising a resistance framework, a bottom and a support wall rigidly associated with this framework. According to this patent, the resistance framework is of long range so that
the boxes can rest, as is, on any bearing infrastructure. The boxes are completely closed on their four longitudinal sides so as to allow their versatility of use. Complete sealing means are associated with each box, its manufacture and do not have
to be manipulated on the construction site. Finally, there is provided at each transverse end and in the upper part of a box means for introducing air capable of circulating inside the box itself, which is therefore of the ventilated type. Given the possible presence
<EMI ID = 3.1>
it necessarily follows a sufficiently large spacing between the bottom and the support wall of the box. This embodiment described in the main patent gives, on the whole, total satisfaction with the following limited limits:
firstly, there is a risk of humidification of the interior of the box, in particular of: -. thermal and / or sound insulation means when the box is installed in rainy weather.
Secondly, the ventilation of the box is, in certain cases, considered superfluous whereas one could wish a ventilation of the premises below the boxes which is hardly possible using the box as it is. Thirdly, it is feared that during the handling of the boxes, in particular at the time of installation, the internal means of thermal and / or sound insulation which are still fragile will be affected.
Fourthly, it may be desirable for the box to be of lesser thickness between the bottom and the support wall / either to increase the ceiling height of the room placed below the box, or to line the support wall, on the side of the room ,
decorative beams.
The improvements, the subject of this certificate of addition, therefore have the essential aim of meeting these requirements by proposing a box of the same general type as that described in the main patent which, however, is of the non-ventilated type.
To this end and according to one of the characteristics of the improvements, object of the present invention, the background
of a box which forms a ceiling for the room placed below is adjacent and placed between the upper beams and the lower beams of this box. The lower beams are placed outside the box. The means for introducing ventilation air are placed below the bottom.
The other characteristics of the improvements which are the subject of the present invention will be clearly understood from the description which follows with reference to the appended drawings in which:
Figure 15 is a perspective view of the roof according to the present invention, devoid of sealing means between two juxtaposed boxes and comprising, in part, water discharge means. Figure 16 is a schematic view, in elevation, partially broken away, of a box provided with edge planks and on the right half-view, of sealing means between two juxtaposed boxes. Figure 17 is a schematic plan view, partially in section along the line XVII-XVII of Figure 16. Figure 18 is a schematic view, at a larger <EMI ID = 4.1>
according to figure 16.
Figure 19 is a schematic view in section along the line XIX-XIX of Figure 16. Figure 20 is a schematic view in section along the line XX-XX of Figure 16. Figure 21 is a schematic view , in elevation, partially torn off, from the end of the box.
According to the invention, a roof is proposed of
<EMI ID = 5.1>
to which this addition is attached and to the description of which it is necessary to refer, only the variants and improvements object of the present request being here <EMI ID = 6.1>
described.
For convenience, the parts, organs, means already described in the main patent are included here with the same references.
According to the invention, each of the boxes 2 which constitute the roof is of the non-ventilated type while being arranged to allow ventilation of the premises placed below the roof. To this end and according to an essential characteristic of the present invention, the bottom 9 which forms a ceiling for the room placed below is adjacent and placed between the upper beams 3 and the lower beams 4. The upper beams 3 are therefore placed, as previously, inside the box 2. According to the invention, the upper side members 3 define the distance between the bottom 9 and the support wall 12, which distance is smaller than that of the variant described in the main patent, which , all other things being equal, increases the ceiling height of the room below the roof.
According to the invention, the lower beams 4 are placed outside the box 2, unlike the variant described in the main patent. They therefore constitute "beams" visible from the room below the roof. These beams are decorative or serve as a support for decorative and / or functional elements. In particular, a covering element 51 can be provided covering the junction of two lower side members 4 of two neighboring boxes 1. Such a covering element 51 makes it possible, for example, to provide a tubular space 52 capable of serving as a housing for electrical or other wires.
The support wall 12 can be either inclined (as described in the main patent), or at zero slope.
Due to the arrangement which has just been described, it is clear that the lower beams 4 have a greater thickness than that corresponding to the variant described in the main patent. In addition and in the case where the support wall
12 is inclined, the thickness of the lower side members 4 is preferably variable, continuously and regularly, being the smallest at the free end portions and the greatest in the central zone of the box.
In a possible variant (not shown), the two lower beams 4 are merged with the lateral sides 5
(he
<EMI ID = 7.1>
of which they then constitute the lower projecting zones 5c. In this case, the lateral sides 5 are preferably thicker and terminated at their free upper part by a cutaway serving as a seat for the sheet 22.
Each lateral side 5 comprises not only the two
<EMI ID = 8.1>
The two lower beams 4 are rigidly associated with one another by spacers 6 placed opposite the lower projecting zone 5c, below the bottom 9, therefore visible from the room. Below the roof. In the same way as the corresponding lower beams 4, the successive spacers 6 are of increasing thickness from the end of a box to
its middle part when the support wall 12 is inclined. This arrangement allows a reinforcement of the box which, all other things being equal, makes possible a greater spacing of the spacers 6.
According to the invention, the space delimited by the upper beams 3, the bottom 9 and the support wall 12 is closed and capable of being completely filled with a material 13 for sound and / or thermal insulation not only held in place but still also participating in the rigidity of the box. This arrangement also has the effect of allowing, all other things being equal, an increase in the spacing of the spacers 6. The fact that the space in which the material 13 is located is also closed has the consequence that it does not in no case may be affected by humidity or rain.
According to an important characteristic of the present invention, the air introduction means (in this case the opening or grid 16), when they are provided, are placed below the bottom 9 so that they are in communication not with the inside of the box itself (especially the material 13) but with the room placed below the box. To this end, the opening 16 is placed opposite a transverse hollow beam 53 itself resting on the infrastructure 1 and serving to support the box. This beam 53, in particular composite, is provided with a central cavity 54 which allows both the fixing of the beam 53 to the infrastructure 1 by means of lag screws or
<EMI ID = 9.1>
and from the interior of the premises via a bore 55. Naturally, it is conceivable that the beam 53 is provided with means 56 for thermal and / or sound insulation. Also, we conceive the possibility of placing a covering element 57 at the junction between the beam 53 and the infrastructure 1. Finally, 'it is clear that the possible fan 44 is placed not in the box itself. but in the room.
According to another characteristic of the invention, it is placed between the wall of the edge 12 and the sealing sheet 22 a sheet 22a of sound insulation especially against impact noise
(rain) .
According to the invention, the box end cutout 10 is limited to its lower part by two side members 14a placed transversely relative to the box and to the side members 3.4 unlike the side members 14 of the variant described in the main patent.
<EMI ID = 10.1>
inner frontal 15, at its lower end and above the opening 16 and the other outer spar 14a is located at the free end of the lower spars 4. The bngererons 14a allow the fixing of a covering element 9 [ pound] of
same type as the end part 9b described in the main patent with the following differences: the element 9c is completely dissociated from the bottom 9. The element 9c is placed below the bottom 9. It is clear that the external spar 14a is capable of supporting the roof overhangs, in particular the edge strip 25. A
this same spar 14a can be rigidly secured two support elements 28c, 28d, vertical and directed upwards, which can replace the angles 28a, 28b of the variant described in the main patent, participating in maintaining the edge strip 25 and
of the element of the gutter 30.
According to a characteristic of the invention, the outer upper edge of each gutter is placed below the inner upper edge which is placed above the opening 16. This arrangement makes ventilation possible through the tunnel 43 without allowing introduction of water through opening 16.
Naturally, the invention can be the subject of numerous variants. In particular, it is clear that the box
which has just been described is likely to receive an element
folding frame as described in the main patent.
