<EMI ID=16.1>

Method for the manufacture of building boards based on sand and a. curable organic pinder composition, building boards thus manufactured as well as sandwich panels manufactured using the building boards.
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing building boards from sand and a curable binder composition based on polyisocyanates and polyols.
It is known to produce moldings from sand and a curable organic binder composition for use as casting

When mixed with the binder composition, the moisture content of the sand should not be too high and is preferably less than 0.2 wt. %. The mixing can be performed in mixing equipment for mixing a solid with

Mills.
The mixers customary in the foundry are particularly suitable, for example the so-called continuous screw mixers in various designs.
After mixing, the sand / binder mixture is applied on a conveyor belt of, for example, steel without or with a Teflon coating.
<EMI ID = 16.1>
It is possible to apply the sand / binder mixture directly from the mixing machine or via an extruder on the conveyor belt. Another way to form a layer than with a squeegee, knife or roller is to bring the sand / binder mixture between two conveyor belts placed one above the other. In certain cases it is possible to mix the sand and the polyurethane-forming components in extruder equipment and to layer them on a conveyor belt via a slot-shaped nozzle.
After forming a layer on the conveyor belt, it is cut transversely into pieces of defined length by means of a saw blade, guillotine or other cutting device before hardening. However, dividing into pieces can also take place after hardening with the aid of a sawing device.
Curing can take place under different conditions, depending on the chosen binder composition. By adding catalysts, a system can be obtained that hardens at a low temperature. Hardening can also take place by supplying heat, for example by running the conveyor belt through a tunnel oven with a temperature of, for example, 100 ° C.
After curing, the building boards are removed from the conveyor belt.
The sizes of the manufactured building boards can vary greatly depending on the intended application and machines used.
For various applications, the building boards can be

The building boards obtained according to the method of the invention are suitable, inter alia, for covering walls, laying floors and as ceiling covering. The number of application possibilities is greatly expanded by using the plates for the manufacture of sandwich panels, consisting of two plates with
