<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>

"Cold bridge for metal constructions and metal constructions
who apply such a cold bridge ".
This invention relates to a cold bridge
for metal constructions as well as on metal constructions
who apply such a cold bridge. More particularly, this invention relates to a thermal bridge that will mainly be used in metal joinery such as fixed and opening parts of windows, doors, walls and the like.
The present invention relates to a thermal bridge which is realized in such a way that any direct transfer of heat from one side of the construction to the other side is excluded, furthermore it is obtained that in this way an acoustic bridge can be formed simultaneously.
Such a construction is mainly formed by
as it were two constructions, respectively an internal construction and an external construction, these two constructions being connected to each other in a suitable manner by means of intermediate pieces, all this in such a way that the aforementioned thermal insulation and, in addition, the acoustic insulation is realized.
Solutions have already been proposed for obtaining such a so-called thermal bridge, but all known solutions have the major drawbacks that they are relatively complicated and therefore expensive, on the one hand, and that
they must always be provided with additional aids to connect the so-called outer construction to the inner construction by means of the insulating material mass.
The aim of the present invention is therefore to realize a thermal bridge which is exceptionally simple and which is formed by two identical profiles which, for example, can be realized in a very simple manner by extrusion and which can be debited to the appropriate length, after which it is sufficient to apply these two parts. between the profiles that are used for, on the one hand, the outer construction and, on the other hand, the inner construction, to obtain that, on the one hand, the cold bridge and possibly the acoustic bridge
is formed while, on the other hand, and at the same time the connection is obtained, without the need for additional fastening means, of the aforementioned inner construction
<EMI ID = 1.1>
It is to be noted that the provisions inside construction and outside construction must be understood in the most general sense, in other words, these provisions must be understood in such a way that they always mean the one side.
and the other side of the construction.
To achieve this, each part of the thermal bridge will be provided with, on the one hand, a means that cooperates with the inner construction, and, on the other hand, with the outer construction as well as with a means that cooperates, either with the second element of the thermal bridge or with the adjacent profile of the inner construction or outer construction, either
<EMI ID = 2.1>
horizontal profile of the construction in question, whereby, when the two elements of the thermal bridge are fully interlocked, the profiles of the inner construction and the outer construction are suitable in all directions and
in the correct position.
The thermal bridge according to the invention, which exhibits the above and other advantages, mainly consists for this purpose in that it is formed by the combination of an inner profile; an outer profile and, between the two, two fixing profiles of insulating material which are identical, each fixing profile being provided with means that cooperate simultaneously with the two adjacent metal profiles and means that allow these fixing profiles, either with each other or with the adjacent metal profiles, or can still be connected to each other and to the adjacent metal profiles at the same time.
With the insight the characteristics of the invention better
Some preferred embodiments are described below, by way of example without any limitation in nature
with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
figure 1 shows an exploded view of the constituent elements of a cold bridge according to the invention; figure 2 represents a composite view of the elements according to figure 1; figure 3 represents the actual cold bridge of figure 2 on a larger scale; figures 4 and 5 are views similar to that of figure 3, but for embodiment variants.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3
the thermal bridge according to the invention consists of two profiles,
<EMI ID = 3.1>
can be obtained in a manner, for example by extrusion, and then cut to a suitable length. These profiles will of course be made of an insulating material. In this case, each profile is formed by a flange 3 with 3 protrusions on one side of this flange, respectively.
<EMI ID = 4.1>
to cooperate with the two metal profiles to be joined together while the protrusion or body 6 is intended to cooperate with the similar second profile of the thermal bridge, in order, on the one hand, to realize the thermal bridge and, on the other hand, the connection at the same time to be realized between the two metal profiles between which such a cold bridge is formed.
<EMI ID = 5.1>, one tooth 7.
The profiles between which such a cold bridge is formed can have any shape. As a simple example
<EMI ID = 6.1>
these profiles being provided with grooves 10-11 and 12-13 respectively with which the protrusions 4 and 5
of the two profiles of the cold bridge can cooperate, while preferably on the facing walls, these profiles have an elongated shallow recess, 14-15 respectively. As can be seen clearly from Figures 1 to 3, it is sufficient to form such a cold bridge, the two profiles
<EMI ID = 7.1>
shown in the aforementioned figures are brought together, all this such that the protrusions 4 and 5 end up
in the grooves, 10-12, on the one hand, and 11-13, respectively
<EMI ID = 8.1>
the bodies 6 of the two profiles 1 and 2 engage with each other. During the engagement of these teeth, the
<EMI ID = 9.1>
bending, which is facilitated by the presence of the recesses 14 and 15 in the two profiles.
It is clear that one thus obtains that the profiles 1 and 2 interlock neatly and thus form the cold bridge, while at the same time a strong connection is obtained between the metal profiles 8 and 9.
Figure 4 shows an embodiment in which the
