Description

"Water treatment apparatus"
The present invention relates to an apparatus
for water treatment, in particular water polluted by
oils and suspended solids. This device,
which can be fitted with a trolley, is used for washing
polluted water, in particular in washing stations.
The current purification devices provide for installations placed on land and use lamellar sectors and spherical filtering materials which separate the oils but leave the soaps and waxes in solution in particular, because they have a specific weight equivalent to that from 1'

water. The device / consists of two filter units, connected
at opposite ends of a gravity separation unit in which are incorporated inclined modular panels to separate the substances contained in the raw water passing horizontally and allow the substances to float or settle. The raw water crosses one of the

collects the oily substances, and arrives in a horizontal flow in the separation unit, where the heavy substances separate, then the water passes through the other filtration unit and provides treated water. The conduits are designed to be switchable, which makes it possible to alternate the flows in the filtration units.
Other details and features of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the description given below, without limitation and with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 represents a view in longitudinal section, schematic, of an apparatus according to the invention. Figure 2 shows a cross-sectional view of the separation unit of an apparatus according to the invention, in detail on an enlarged scale.
For the washing stations, the collection of dirty water is planned in a small well 1 where the

passes into the second filtration unit 14 and is purified through an L6 basket filter on a support bed
15. Analogously to the first filtration unit 8, the second filtration unit 14 is formed of filtration zones 14-1 and 14-11 through which the water passes in a descending flow. A three-way valve 17 makes it possible to bring together the flows leaving each of the two basket filters 16 and to

After the material in 8-1 has been washed vigorously, the valve is switched 6 to direct the water to 8-11 and allow the filtering material to be washed there, then the water is treated in the separation unit 11, filtered in the second filtration unit 14 and recovered purified. A four-way valve 20 switchable allows
