Abstract
Stems of cereals, esp. rye and winter barley, are stabilised by applying >=1 cpd. of formula (I): (where R1 = CH2CH2Cl, CH2CH2Br or CHOHCCl3, R2 = O or S, R3 and R4 are OH, Cl, NH2, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkylthio, arylthio, mono- or di-alkylamino the alkyl and aryl gps. being opt. substd.) at 1.5-3 kg/ha (as soln. in 150-600 1 water) between start of sprouting until ears develop, pref. at the appearance of the second stem node (5-10 on the Feeke's scale). Application of (I) reduces the length of the stem so that plants are less liable to lodging. The soln. of (I) may contain other active ingredients and is pref. dispensed from aircraft.
Description
<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>
<EMI ID=4.1>

<EMI ID=15.1>

"Product and process for stabilizing cereal stubble"
The present invention relates to a product and to a process for stabilizing the heating of cereals, in particular of rye and of bark.
It is known that with cereals we can
<EMI ID = 1.1>
level of mineral nitrogen fertilization and bad
<EMI ID = 2.1> and in an extreme case up to 50%; furthermore, such cases complicate the entire harvest process as well
than subsequent operations.
It is also known that as a stubble stabilizer, chlorocholine is used, which regulates growth. A drawback appears however
in the fact that its application is mainly limited
wheat.
The object of the present invention is to avoid this drawback. It therefore consists in developing a product and a process for stabilizing cereal stubble,
in particular., from. rye and snail.
This problem is solved according to the invention by applying the products containing, as active substance, one or more compounds of the general formula
<EMI ID = 3.1>
<EMI ID = 4.1>
NH-alkyl or N (alkyl) where the alkyl or aryl groups
are optionally substituted, from the start of the rise of the cereal until shortly before heading, preferably at the appearance of the second stubble node (Feekes scale 5 to
10), in application amounts of 1.5 to 3 kg of active substance, dissolved in 150 to 600 1 of water, per hectare.
The products according to the invention can be applied in a suitable formulation from an aircraft and can be combined with other agrochemical active substances.

EXAMPLE 3
Stabilization of .. thatch and yield of the harvest during the application of the products according to the invention (active substance: 2-chloroethanephosphonic acid) for the escourgeon.
(a) Stabilization of thatch.
The treatment of the snail at the time of
<EMI ID = 14.1>
cation of 2.2kg of active substance / ha in 3 1 of water causes a shortening of 17.9%, treatment in an application amount of 2.75 kg of active substance / ha in 4 1 of water
<EMI ID = 15.1>
(b) Yield of the crop.
If, for the untreated witness, we set
62.3 q / ha = 100%, the yield increases when applying 2.2 kg of active substance / ha in 3 1 of 106% water, and when applying 2.75 kg of substance active / ha in 4 1 of 110% water.
While for the treated samples no lodging appears, there is in the untreated control plots a strong lodging tendency.
EXAMPLE 4
Stubble stabilization in winter rye
(combination of different active substances).
In two different places, the stubble shortening is examined during the application of the products according to the invention at an active substance concentration of 2.2 kg of active substance / ha in 4 1 of water (scale
of Feekes from 6 to 7) for winter rye.
TABLE III
<EMI ID = 16.1>
In Table III, mixture A consists of 30% of 2-chloroethanephosphonic acid and 12% of monochloroethyl ester of this acid; mixture B consists of 20% of 2-chloroethanephosphonic acid and 30% of the monochloroethyl ester.
EXAMPLE 5
The dependence between the yield and the concentration of the active substance, the time of application, nitrogen fertilization and the different locations emerges for different kinds of rye from Tables IV and V.
