<EMI ID=42.1>

a vacuum system which is in communication by the pipe

in this liquid.
The sampling syringe 42 has a plunger
59 extending downwards by a rod 60 provided with a stop 61. The piston 59 receives in the chamber 62 the necessary quantity of diluent from the diluent reservoir 50 by means of the diluent pump 51 which is d A construction similar to the reagent pump, the description of which will be given in detail below, but the initial operating conditions are naturally different.
The reagent pump 63 shown schematically in figure 6
and identical to the pump 51, is the main element of a reagent injection unit 64. Its structure and mode
operation are explained in Figure (5).
The reagent is drawn into a receptacle 65 into which the suction line 66 is immersed.
The reagent pump essentially comprises a piston 67, (fig. 6) which can move alternately in the chamber 68 under the influence of the overpressures reigning alternately on either side of the base 69 of the piston.
<EMI ID = 42.1>
by a rod 70 provided with a stop 71.
Gaskets 72 provide the seal between the zones located in the chamber 68 on either side of these seals. Room 68 communicates at its top by a
channel 73 with a drawer 74 whose base 75 can be moved in the chamber 76 thanks to the pneumatic control of the programming device. The spool 74 can therefore perform a translational movement inside the bore provided in the body of the pump 63. The gaskets 77 provide the sealing necessary for the establishment of a compartmentalization along the drawer wall. Drawer is not <EMI ID = 43.1>
is only carried out at the level of the seals
77. The drawer 74 has a recess 78 which allows
conventionally, the reagent being discharged by the piston 67 towards the pipe 79. It will be noted that, when the slide
74 is in the position shown in figure 6
and that the piston is in its position shown
in the same figure there is a vacuum in the chamber 68 above the piston 67. As soon as this piston is lowered under
the lower level of the packing located above the line 66, the suction of the reagent contained in the container
65 takes place due to the vacuum created above the piston
67 in chamber 68 when moving the piston towards
the edge.
The discharge of this reagent towards the transfer needle 79 takes place during the return of the piston 68 and the opening of the drawer 74.
The reciprocating movements of drawer 74 and
those of piston 67 are provided by the
programming 14.
Thanks to an air pipe 80 it is possible to blow air into a test tube placed on the
conveyor belt 1.
It follows from the foregoing that the apparatus according to the invention makes it possible, unlike the systems and devices known to date, to control using an automation generator assembly to program a series of operations. easily determinable in advance. In fact, each work unit includes all the elements specific to the programming of the operations that this unit must perform.
It is obvious, however, that the invention is not <EMI ID = 44.1>
