Abstract

A mechanism for controlling yarn from a warp beam in a weaving loom and based on tension variations in warp yarns, comprises a cam provided with projections which actuate respective micro switches according to variations in yarn tension on the yarn-guide roller, these variations being transmitted via an intermediate lever/spring mechanism. Upon actuation, the micro switches start an electric motor in the appropriate direction to correct the speed regulator which controls the warp beam which thereby releases a greater or lesser quantity of yarn according to the degree of tension sensed by the guide roller.
