Abstract

A paste-forming vinyl halide polymer is obtd by adding an alkarylsulphonate (I) an alkylether sulphate (II) or a sulphosuccinate ester (III) emulsifier to a latex of the polymer after polymsn. and then isolating the polymer pref by spray drying, in the presence of the emulsifier. The polymer forms plastisols of reduced viscosity which viscosity is stable during storage.
