Abstract

Sachet of e.g. PVC or polyalkylene contains a volatile liq. e.g. deodorant, insecticide etc. and is arranged in a flexible or rigid sheath of e.g. terra-cote, porcelain, polyether, polyester foam, sponge cotton wool etc. The sachet may be pierced with pref. a two-pronged spike to allow the liq. to soak into the sheath and then evaporate off into atmos. The sheath may be cylindrical or square and may contain several sachets; where the sheath is flexible, the spike may be embedded in the sheath and where the sheath is rigid, it is pref. provided with apertures into which the spike can be inserted. Evapn. of the volatile liq. is controlled, and the liq. does not deteriorate during storage.
