<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Lors du rapprochement des semelles 1 et 2, les poin- çons 27 s'engagent dans les découpant des encoches dans la bande pour la tôle statorique suivante;
<Desc/Clms Page number 11>

Tool for cutting two concentric circular sheet metal pieces
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to presses with vertical arrangement of the drawing planes used for cutting, from a strip, two circular sheet metal parts, with concentric contours, and more particularly, it relates to combined action tools used on these presses. The tools proposed can in particular be used for the simultaneous cutting in a strip or a ribbon, stator sheets and rotor sheet blanks for magnetic circuits of electric machines, for example asynchronous motors.
Currently, an automatic press is known with a vertical arrangement of the stamping planes for cutting rotor and stator sheets for use by electrical machines in a bsxide.
: The construction of the press provides for at least two tools mounted one above the other, in such a way that their stamping planes are arranged in a single vertical plane.
In the upper tool, in one operation, the annular part, for example the statorj.que sheet, and the central part which constitutes the blank of the second part are cut from the strip and lowered to the second part. tool which will then cut the second part, for example the sheet

In this press, as a superior tool for cutting from the strip, in a single operation, the annular parts and blanks of the second part, a known tool with combined action is used, comprising a fixed base carrying the die on springs. and the stripper (band press), as well as a movable sole provided with punches, cutting rings (inner and outer) for cutting the annular part and its central part constituting the blank of the second part, and ejectors for the annular part and its central part.
However, this tool is mainly used for stamping in horizontal or slightly inclined positions, that is to say for horizontal or slightly inclined arrangements of stamping planes.
The installation of the known tool so that its drawing plane is arranged vertically, neither ensures the orientation of the movement of the strip in the tool, nor its application on the smooth surface of the die, nor the clear separation of the cut annular part from its central part which constitutes the fland the second part, nor their evacuation from the stamping zone by two different routes under the action of their own weight.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the drawbacks mentioned above.
In this invention, it is proposed to develop a combined action tool for presses with vertical arrangement of the stamping planes, which would ensure a strict orientation !! 1: ion of the translation of the strip and its application reliable on the die surface, the

The problem posed is solved by the fact that in the combined action tool for presses with vertical arrangement of the stamping planes, comprising a fixed sole carrying the die on springs and the strip stripper, as well as a movable sole provided with punches, cutting rings for cutting the annular parts and its central part constituting the blank of the second part, and ejectors for the annular part and its central part, the surface of the ejector of the annular part , coming into direct contact with the latter .. is produced, according to the invention, with inclination,

jectaurs, and holding the central part for some time during the separation of the tool.
It is preferable that the inclination of the surface of the annular piece extractor is 30 'to 40'. Such a solution of this problem makes it possible to obtain, on presses with vertical arrangement, stamping planes. an oriented presentation of the strip passing through the stamping zone of the upper tool, as well as distributing two different ways for the evacuation of the annular parts and their central part, cut in the upper tool, under the 'effect of their own weight, this second part then constituting the blank of the next part. The annular part is then cleared beyond the limits of the press, while the blank of the second part is fed to the tool below.
This has become possible thanks to the fact that the guides of the channel ensure a strict orientation of the strip brought to the stamping zone with respect to the die and the flanges located in the upper channel ensure the application of the latter on the smooth face. of the matrix. The realization of the surface of the ejector of the annular part, coming directly in contact with the latter with a slight inclination, made it possible to achieve a progressive extraction of the arnulairs part engaged on the punch.

annular and its central part of the stamping surfaces (punches, dies and ejectors) allows to obtain a clean separation of the annular part and its central part, after their cutting in the tool, as well as the hand - keep the central part in the stamping area for a while when the tool separates.
This last fact allows the cut central parts to maintain a strict vertical position before their fall, which gives them a precise orientation during the consecutive translation in the stamping area of the tool located below, which will achieve the cutting of the second part.
The invention is explained below by the description of a concrete embodiment of the tool for the manufacture, from a strip, of stator sheets and rotor sheet blanks for asynchronous motors, in with reference to the accompanying drawings which

The fixed sole 1 carries the die on springs 6 and the strip stripper 7.
The matrix 6 is formed by the central part 8, the ring 9 and the sectors 10 which are arranged around. The central part 8 is forcibly drawn into the die holder 11, and it is provided for cutting the central orifice in the blank of the rotor plate; while the sectors 10 are rigidly fixed to the die holder 11 by screws 12, the sectors 10 in question then having the shape shown in FIG. 2, which will ensure the cutting of the notches during the manufacture of the stator plates for asynchronous motors.
The ring 9 ensures the cutting of the rotor sheet blank, and it is coupled to the pushers 13 (Figure 1) engaged in the notches of the fixed sole 1 and. Of the carrier 11, which are applied to the ring 14 integral with the damping device of the press (not shown in the drawings).
Between die holder 11 and ring 9 .; a free space 15 has been provided to make it possible to translate the ring 9 during the cutting of the parts in the tool. This / space 5 is protected against clogging by cutting offcuts using the spring-loaded protection ring 16.
The strip stripper 7 is located in the drawing plane; it consists of a flat part with a circular orifice 17 (FIG. 3) drilled in its part ces- tr @ le and corresponds to the dimension of the. matrix 6.

The punches 27 are provided with ducts 31 for the passage of air, opposing the sticking of the cut off scraps on the faces of the punches 27.
On the movable sole 2 are also placed the ejector 32 for removing the stator sheet from the punches 27, and an ejector 33 for removing the rotor sheet blank from the punches 28. The ejectors 32 and 33 have the possibility of moving relative to the punches 27 and

The surface 36 of the ejector 32 coming directly into contact with the stamped stator plate is made with a certain inclination, so that its lower point C is a little further from the surface of the movable plate 2 than the point higher D, this inclination then constituting a slope of 30 'to 40' (that is to say that the difference indicated at the points mentioned constitutes 3-4 mm) for a stator plate cut of 350 mm in diameter in- viron. This is essential for the regular and progressive extraction of the cut stator plate from the punches 27.

In the ring 9 of the die 6, in the ejector 32 of stator plate, in the ejector 33 of the rotary plate blank and in the inner cutting ring 30, elements in the form of pushers have been provided. spring 41, which will separate the stator plate and the rotor plate blank from the stamping surfaces and which will hold the blanks for some time during the separation of the tool.
The proposed tool works as follows .----
When the band is engaged in the guide channels 18 and 19 (figure 2) in the direction indicated by the arrow E, the spring 21 (figure 3) applies the band to the lower channel 18, and the springs 22 and 23 (Figures 4 and 5), as well as the guide plate 25 (Figure 3) apply the tape to the smooth face of the die 6 (Figure 1). When the movable sole 2 approaches the fixed sole 1, the columns 3 move in the ball-and-socket supports 4 of the bushes 5, and the ejectors 32 and 33 apply the strip to the die 6.
When the flanges 1 and 2 are brought together, the punches 27 engage in the cutting notches in the strip for the next stator sheet;

the outer cutting ring, 29 acting in combination with the outer contour of the sectors 10 cuts the outer contour of the stator plate; the punch 28 engages in the orifice 42 of the central part 8 of the die and cuts in the strip the central orifice for the subsequent blank of the rotor plate.
When the flanges 1 and 2 are completely assembled, the inner cutting ring 30, by cooperating with the inner contour of the sectors 10, cuts the contour of the blank of the rotor plate, separating the latter from the stator plate. The offcuts obtained during the cutting of the notches and of the central orifice fall through the orifices 43 formed in the fixed sole 1 and in the die holder 11. -
During cutting, when the pins 1 and 2 are brought together and the punches and the cutting rings interact with the strip and the die, the ejectors 32 and 33 ae move relative to the punches 27 and 28 and to the cutting rings 29 and 30 by approaching the punch holder 26.
Simultaneously, the stripper 7 will move with respect to the die 6 while approaching the carrier 11,
When moving the movable sole 2 away from the fixed sole 1, it is above all the ejector 33 which will be returned under the action of the spring 40 to its initial position and will release the rotor sheet blank from the punch. 28.
The finished stator sheet remains on the punches 27. the pushers 41 of the elector 33 and the pushers 41 of the ring 9 separate the rotor sheet blank from the mentioned parts,

which will be maintained for a certain time in a strict vertical position, then, during the consecutive removal of the sole 2 from the sole 1, the pushers separate, freeing the blank which will retain the vertical position involved-falling.
Simultaneously, the tape stripper? returns to its initial position thanks to the spring 44, and it removes the rest of the strip from the die 6.
When the soles 1 and 2 are almost completely separated, the press synchronization device (not shown in the figure) acts via the ring 39 and the pushers 38 on the ejector 32, bringing the latter back to its initial position. Returning to its initial position, the ejector 32 removes the finished rotor plate from the punches 27.
Thanks to the fact that the surface of the elector 32 is designed with a certain inclination, the extraction of the stator sheet from the punches 27 will take place first at the lower part, then on the flanks, then at the upper part, this which ensures a gradual and regular removal of the stator plate by protecting the latter from untimely slipping from above the punches. The ejector pushers; 2 separate the stator plate from the ejector surface, and the stator plate slides from the elector 32 towards the trough (not shown in the drawing) discharging the finished parts to their place assembly.
On the voter 33, a chamfer 45 is provided pre-
