EMI1.1
dans laquelle R1 représente l'hydrogène, un reste alkyle à bas poids Moléculaire ou un reste alcényle, aralkyle, aryle ou dialkylamino-alkyle dont les groupes alkyles liés à l'atome d'azote peuvent aussi être reliés l'un à l'autre soit directement, soit par l'intermédiaire d'un hétéro-atome;

Lorsque le groupement intermédiaire A1, dans les corps de départ mis en jeu, ne contient pas de groupe hydroxyle, le procédé selon l'invention fournit les mono-esters correspondants et lorsque ce groupement intermédiaire A1, contient un groupe hydroxyle, on obtient des mono-esters ou des di-esters. Dans ce dernier cas, on obtient les mono-asters lorsqu'on travaille selon la variante a) du procédé et qu'on utilise une molede l'acide alcoxy-benzoïque ou du dérive fonctionnel;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Coumarin derivatives 1 and their preparation.
The present invention relates to novel coumarin derivatives which correspond to the general formula

The invention also comprises a process for preparing these coumarin derivatives, process according to which:
a) is acylated, optionally in the presence of an acid acceptor, of coumarin derivatives corresponding to the general formula

EMI4.1
The low molecular weight R 1 and R 2 alkyl residues, as well as the R 3 alkoxy residues, are more peculiar: -, slow radicals containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
When the intermediate group A1, in the starting substances used, does not contain a hydroxyl group, the process according to the invention provides the corresponding mono-esters and when this intermediate group A1 contains a hydroxyl group, mono-esters are obtained. -esters or di-esters. In the latter case, the mono-asters are obtained when working according to variant a) of the process and when using an alkoxy-benzoic acid or a functional derivative;
when sweet meles are used, the corresponding di-esters are obtained. When it is desired to prepare diesters, the esterification can also be carried out in two stages: it is then possible to use, in these two stages, different acylating agents, that is to say different alkoxy-benzoic acids (or their functional derivatives). In this way, it is possible to prepare mixed dividers containing two different acyl residues.
It is also variant c) of the process according to the present invention which provides not only the monc-esters but also the corresponding di-esvers, which depends on the nature of the Y substituent of the piperazine derivative used as the deporting body. Variants b) and d) of the present process initially only lead to mono-esters which can, however,
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
be converted into di-esters with a second mole of an acylating agent, according to variant a), if the intermediate group A,
still contains an acylable hydroxyl group.
The salts of the coumarin derivatives obtained are colorless crystalline substances which dissolve well in water.
As these derivatives have interesting pharmacological properties, which are explained below, this good solubility in water of their salts confers them a very particular interest * As coronaro-dilators, the compounds according to the invention are superior to other known substances of the same type.

To prepare dragees and tablets with, as active ingredients, derivatives of. In accordance with the invention, these substances can be mixed with the adjuvants customary for this purpose, such as starch, lactose, talc and others. We can use all the materials commonly used in pharmacy for the preparation of tablets and dragees. For the preparation of injectable solutions, the coumarin derivatives are particularly suitable because these derivatives are, in most cases, soluble in water.
It goes without saying that it is also possible to prepare injectable solutions of insoluble products in water by using, as is known, agents of

After slowing down of the exothermic reaction, stirring is continued for a further 2 hours at 40-50 "and the treatment is terminated as in Example 3.
The diester dihydrochloride of the above formula is thus obtained in the form of colorless crystals which decompose at 160.
70 g are collected, or 78.5% of the amount.
