  PROCEDE ET DISPOSITIF DE CHANGEMENT DE VITESSE

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  GEAR CHANGE PROCEDURE AND DEVICE

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   Most mechanical construction gear changes are relatively complicated and expensive.

   The present invention aims to fulfill the functions of changing speed, direction of rotation and clutch in a simple manner; this device being particularly intended for small machines, type tillers and others, the idea and to choose, to drive on a single shaft, any of the pinions mounted ioua on this shaft. It is understood that all the pinions aligned on the single shaft are coupled to other pinions, and this in a pre-established order in a permanent manner.

   It follows that to choose @ ?? given transmission contribution, it suffices to select and make integral one of the pinions of the carrier axis, so that @ the driven and driving axes are in the chosen ratio.

   To make the invention easier to understand, we will refer to the drawings, which are one of the possible, but not mandatory, embodiments.

    In Figure 1: -.

   The axis, which we will call in the ensile of the description, the driving shaft, but which, of course, could be the driven shaft *, is represented in 1 M. On this shaft, are aligned three pinions, respectively 2 M, 3M and 4M; 2 M and 3 M turn crazy, while 4 M is attached to the 1 M axis by the intermediary of 5 M clabota ..

   These clabota 5 M are in fact engaged in the notches of the pin 4 M by the action of the cam 6 M, itself integral with the axis 8 M, this axis being able to move in parallel.
