<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

"Projection device"
The present invention relates to a projection device comprising a projector and a screen.
Currently, when you want to show a film in a room not designed for this purpose, such as a living room, a classroom, etc., the screen must first be mounted. in a place clearly visible from the room, then
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
place the projector at a suitable distance and height from this screen.
This therefore has the drawback of requiring a relatively long preparation time before being able to start showing the film.
In addition, this projection must be carried out in a relatively dark room to obtain a sufficiently visible image.
Moreover, there are translucent screens which can be placed in front of the objective of a projector to make it possible to form on such a screen, by transparency, the projected image. The image thus obtained is however of very small dimensions.
The aim of the present invention consists essentially in overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks and in presenting a projection device with a very small footprint which can be quickly put into service for projection without requiring extreme darkness in the room where it is given. this projection.
To this end, at least one mirror is provided on the path of the light beam coming from the projector to reflect this beam towards the screen, the number of mirrors being odd, so as to be able to form on this screen, by transparency, the projected image, the latter being similar to the image formed by direct projection onto an opaque screen.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the device, according to the invention, comprises an enclosure containing the projector, this enclosure having a door with at least two panels rotating around vertical axes and folding one over the other. , when the enclosure is formed, one of the panels
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
having, on its inner face, a mirror, the other panel having the translucent screen, the light beam coming from the projector being directed, when the enclosure is open and the panels form between them and in relation to them. clearly defined angles to the optical axis of the projector lens, towards the mirror provided on said panel, this mirror reflecting this light beam towards the screen.
Other details and particularities of the invention will emerge from the description of the drawings appended hereto and which represent, by way of non-limiting example, a particular embodiment of the invention.
FIG. 1 is a schematic plan view, with partial breaks, of a projection device according to the invention, in the closed position.
FIG. 2 is a plan view of the device of FIG. 1 in the projection position.
In both figures, the same reference numbers designate the elemental marls.
The projection device shown in the figures comprises a cabinet forming an enclosure 1 and a projector 2 placed in this enclosure 1.
The enclosure 1 has a door with soft panels 3 and 4 rotating around vertical axes 5 and 6 respectively and so folding against each other when the enclosure is closed, as shown in figure 1.
The panel 3 is hinged to the side wall 8 of the enclosure 1, while the panel 4 is hinged to the opposite side wall 9, slightly inside the enclosure 1, so as to allow the panel 3 to be folded down. against the leaf 4, in parallel planes.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The exterior panel 3 has, on its interior face 10, a mirror 11,, the interior panel 4 comprising a translucent screen 12.
Two mirrors 13 and 14 are mounted inside the enclosure 1, in planes perpendicular to the bottom? of the latter. The mirror 13 is arranged facing the objective 15 of the projector 2, the optical axis of this objective 15 being oblique with respect to the plane of the mirror 13, so as to reflect the rays of the light beam 16 from the projector 2 towards mirror 14. The latter is oriented so as to be able to reflect in turn said beam 16 towards mirror 11 provided on panel 3, when the latter is in the open position as shown in FIG. 2.
The mirror 11 then sends the light beam received towards the translucent screen 12 formed by the panel 4, the latter also being in the open position, as shown in FIG. 2. In their aforementioned open position, the two panels 3 and 4 therefore form between euzc and with the mirror 14 well-determined angles so that the light beam 16 can follow the path deorit above and shown in Figure 2.
The image projected by the projector 2 is reflected an odd number of times by the mirrors 11, 13 and 14 before reaching the translucent screen 12, so that the image formed, by transparency, on this screen 12, is similar to that formed by direct projection onto a normal opaque screen.
A locking member 17 formed by a rod 18 articulated on the panel 3 and sliding on a permanent magnet 19 mounted on the upper part 20 of the enclosure 1 makes it possible to immobilize the panel 3, when the enclosure 1 is open, as it has been shown in Figure 2, so that the
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
light beam 16 from projector 2 can be reflected on mirror 11 provided on panel 3 towards the screen of panel 4, the latter also being able to be provided with a locking member not shown in the figures.
The cabinet 1 therefore forms an attractive, compact and easily transportable box which can contain any type of projector 2 given that the projector is entirely independent of the cabinet. It can in a way be compared to a television set. The projection of a film can take place with a minimum of preparations. It suffices to open the corner 1 and to bring the panels 3 and 4 in the position allowing the reflection of the beam 16 towards the cord 12.
The projector 2 is thus easily accessible to allow its control as well as the installation and replacement of film reels,
It should be understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and that many variations can be envisaged without departing from the scope of the present patent.
