  "Vanne distributrice".

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

  "Distributor valve".

  The present invention relates to valves
 EMI1.1
 simple éflé d! tihùtibij of the type in which the closure member is constituted by a spherical element, such as a ball.

   We already know such valves, in which

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 the closure member such as a ball is rotated by an operating key to bring its perforation or its diametrical opening into line with the inlet and outlet pipes in the open position, while in the closed position, the ball prevents any passage between said pipes.

   In the case where such a distributor valve is used to launch compressed air into a cylinder, the cylinder piston, when it returns to its initial position, delivers the burnt gases towards said valve and these gases. burns must be evacuated.

     It is particularly for this purpose that it is proposed to realize according to the invention a ball distributor valve provided with a flow channel, characterized in that, in addition to the diametral flow channel arranged transversely in the closed position of the valve, the ball forming the closure member is also provided with a conduit intended to place the outlet pipe in communication with the valve chamber, which is itself provided in its wall with an orifice evacuation to the outside.

   The following description, based on the accompanying drawing by way of example, will make the invention easier to understand. We see in:
Figure 1 an elevational view of a valve according to the invention
Figures 2 and 3 two views similar to that of Figure 1 with a cutout in the valve body showing the ball respectively in the closed position and in the open position, and
Figure 4 a section on 4-4 of Figure 1, the ball being in the closed position.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   A distributor valve, produced according to the invention and shown in FIG. 1, comprises, like the current valves, a valve body 1, two connection end pieces, respectively inlet 2 and outlet 3, and an operating key 4. It is also provided perpendicularly to the flow axis with two fixing parts consisting of tubular elements 5 threaded internally to allow the fixing of the valve.

   A valve according to the invention is of a common type with a closure member constituted by a ball. The ball 6 shown in the drawing has a diametral flow channel 7 ', has in the closed position transversely to the inlet and outlet nozzles, the seal being provided by bowl seals 8. The valve opens. made by the operating key 4 acting directly on the ball and placing the two end pieces 2 and 3 in communication via channel 7. According to the invention, this ball is provided with a duct 9 arranged obliquely which, in the closed position , opens out on the one hand at 9 'in the flow axis towards the outlet nozzle 3 and on the other hand at 9 "in the valve chamber 10. For its part, the valve chamber 10 is provided with in its wall between the fixing tubes 5 of an evacuation orifice 11.

   It is easily understood that, when the valve is opened, there is direct passage of the compressed air towards the cylinder to be supplied by the inlet nozzle 2, the channel 7 and the outlet nozzle 3; the opening 9 'of the duct 9 is at this moment disposed opposite the orifice 11 and is not in communication with the flow of the compressed air.

   By closing the valve, the channel 7 resumes its transverse position and prevents any connection between the end pieces, but by the rotation of the ball, the opening 9 'of the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 conduit 9 has just been placed opposite the outlet nozzle 3 and said conduit allows the burnt gases discharged by the piston to enter the valve chamber 10 and from there to escape to the outside through the orifice 11.

   The valve opens and closes instantaneously with a quarter-turn, with end stops '18. A distributor valve made in accordance with the invention is robust and simple in construction. It is quick and easy to use.
