La présente invention a pour objet un appareil respiratoire.
L'invention a pour but de procurer à des person- nes souffrant d'affections pulmonaires ou cardiaques un appareil permettant de chauffer l'air à inspirer, cet appareil autorisant ces personnes à se livrer à leurs activités habituelles à l'ex- térieur lorsque la température de l'air est plus basse que cel- le qu'ils peuvent supporter normalement. l'invention peut également étre utillisé par toute personne non atteinte des affections précitées afin d'accroître leur résis- @ tance au froid lors de travaux éffectués à l'extérieur ou, par exemple, dans des chambres froides.
A cet effet, suivant l'invention, l'appareil respiratoire est constitué d'un masque pouvant être appliqué, de manière étanche, au moins sur le nez, ce masque étant relie, par au moins un tuyau, à un dispositif destiné à chauffer l'air inspiré.
Suivant une forme de réalisation de l'invention, le dispositif susdit comprend des moyens pour chauffer l'air par la chaleur du corps.
Suivant un mode de réalisation avantageux de l'invention, le dispositif susdit comprend des moyens pour chauf- fer l'air à inspirer à l'aide de la chaleur dégagée par la com- bustion d'un gaz.
Suivant une forme de réalisation particulière- ment avantageuse de l'invention, les moyens susdits sont cons- titués par un serpentin logé dans un bottier auquel est raccordé le tuyau susdit et présentant des ouvertures pour le passage de l'air vers l'intérieur du bottier, une des extrémités du serpentin aboutissant dans une chambre de combustion ménagée à l'extérieur du boîtier et présentant, au moins une ouverture permettant le passage de l'air nécessaire à la combustion, l'au- tre extrémité du serpentin débouchant à l'extérieur du bottier pour l'évacuation des gaz brûlés.
D'autres détails et particularités de l'invention ressortiront de la description des dessins annexés au présent mémoire et qui représentant, à titre d'exemples non limitatifs, des formes de réalisation particulières de l'objet de l'inven- tion.

L'appareil respiratoire suivant l'invention et montré à la figure 1 est constitué d'un masque 1 qui s'applique sur le nez d'une manière étanche, de deux tuyaux souples 2 abou- tissant à la base 3 du masque ainsi que d'un boîtier 4 destiné à être porté sur le corps et sous les vêtements, l'inspiration de l'air se faisant par le nez tandis que l'expiration se fait par la bouche.
L'appareil respiratoire présente l'avantage de permettre à celui qui le porte de parler normalement, le mas- que étant en outre agencé pour autoriser la port de lunettes.
Le masque 1 est fixé par deux liens élastiques 5 passés derrière les oreilles, la matière constituant le mas- que étant étanche à l'air, l'étanchéité du casque étant obte- nue en munissant ses bords d'un joint étanche 6 réalisé, par exemple, en caoutchouc se présentant sous forme de mousse. ne pas gêner l'utilisateur de l'appareil. L'air à inspirer est chauffé dans le boîtier 4 par la chaleur du corps.
Ledit boîtier 4 contient à cet effet une masse 7 de matière légère, poreuse et ayant une bonne conductibilité thermique à travers laquelle circule l'air à chauffer qui pénètre dans le bottier 4 par des ouvertures 8, l'air se trouvant dans cette masse 7 étant inspiré grâce aux tuyaux 2 qui se ramifient à l'intérieur de la masse afin d'aspirer de l'air réchauffé en plusieurs endroits de cette dernière, les tuyaux 2 passant par des ou- vertures 9 ménagées dans le boîtier 4.
L'appareil respiratoire suivant l'invention et montré à la figure 2 comprend également un masque 1 réuni par des tuyaux souples à un boîtier 4 destiné à être porté à l'ex- térieur des vêtements et muni d'un dispositif 10 comprenant des moyens pour chauffer l'air à inspirer à l'aide 'de la cha- leur dégagée par la combustion d'un gaz. Les moyens susdits sont constitués par un serpentin 11 logé dans le boîtier 4 à l'intérieur duquel aboutissent les tuyaux 2 et qui présente des ouvertures 8 pour l'entrée de l'air.
L'extrémité 12 du serpentin aboutit dans une chambre de combustion 13 ménagée à l'extérieur du bottier 4 et présentant des ouvertures 14 permettant le passage de l'air nécessaire à la combustion du gaz. L'extrémité 15 du serpentin aboutit dans un petit caisson 16 solidaire du boîtier 4, ce caisson présentant une ouverture 22 pour l'évacuation des gaz brûlés et contenant un moteur 17 actionnant, grâce à une pile
18, un ventilateur 19 assurant la circulation des gaz brûlés à travers le serpentin 11 et leur évacuation du caisson. Le chauffage de l'air passant à travers le boîtier 4 s'effectue par la combustion d'un gaz contenu dans une bonbonne 20 logée dans la chambre de combustion 13, l'allumage du gaz étant réa-

lisé à l'aide d'un dispositif 21 analogue à ceux utilisés dans les briquets.
Le dispositif 21 d'allumage du gaz établit au- tomatiquement, lorsqu'il est actionné, le contact entre la pile 18 et le moteur 17 pour la mise en marche du ventilateur 19.
L'ouverture 22 du caisson est,avantageusement munie d'un dia- phragme 23 réglant le débit de gaz brûlé et, de là, le chauffa- se de l'air traversant le boîtier 4.
L'appareil respiratoire suivant l'invention et montré à la figure 3 comprend aussi un masque 1 réuni par des tuyaux souples 2 à un bottier 4 destiné à être porté à l'ex- térieur des vêtements, ce boîtier étant muni d'une chambre étan- che 24 dans laquelle s'effectue une réaction exothermique, la chaleur engendrée par cette réaction permettant de réchauffer l'air à inspirer pénétrant dans le bottier 4 par les ouvertures 8 par diffusion et convection grâce à un serpentin 11.
Il doit être entendu que l'invention n'est nul- lement limitée aux formes de réalisation décrites et que bien des modifications peuvent être apportées à ces dernières sans sortir du cadre du présent brevet.
On pourrait notamment prévoir de chauffer l'air à inspirer par une résistance électrique alimentée par une batterie ou par une pile et logée dans le boîtier 4, l'air à chauffer passant sur cette résistance.
On pourrait encore prévoir, pour chauffer l'air à inspirer, de munir le boîtier 4 d'un appareil de chauffage catalytique.
