<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
vis-à-vis a chemotherapeutic agent or an antibiotic, 'for diagnostic purposes.
The device essentially comprises the elements. following: a support in which is formed a number of culture vessels; in each tank, a culture medium in lyophilic state, with an indicator intended to signal the possibility of bacterial development and with an antibiotic and / or a chemotherapeutic agent, the antibiotics and / or chemotherapeutic agents or their combinations being different in the various culture vessels and a control vessel being devoid of any antibiotic and / or chemotherapeutic agent. The arrangement is such that the lyophilic product in the tanks can be reduced to a normal volume at. using a physiological solution or equivalent and can receive a bacterial culture from the body.
A cover for the tank support contains indications in words or in code - concerning the lyophilic content of the various tanks.
On the bottom of the culture vessels may protrude appendages retaining the freeze-dried product in these vessels.
The cover will only be able to adapt to the support in a single defined position, in order to give an indication of the irremovable content of the different tanks. Further, the cover may be applied in a fully closed posltion by junction with the carrier, and in a lifted position relative to the carrier, by partial outward and inward bending of the arched lips of the carrier edge. .
The support and the cover are practically transparent, in order to allow observation of the cultures at

In different positions along the two long sides of the edge 1a of the support 1, spring-loaded curved lenguetses 8 are provided, which can be folded outwards into the position shown in, figure 4 or inwards. as shown in Figure 5.
Opposite the tongues 8 are provided holes, into which a corresponding rod 9 formed on the perimeter 5a of the cover can penetrate, when the tongues 8 are folded outwards, that is to say upwards. Under these conditions, the edges 5a and 1a are kept at a distance from each other and the application of the cover does not determine the complete closure of the tanks 2. On the other hand, when the flap the tabs 8 inwards, that is, when carried downwards in the position shown in figure 5, the coupling of the edges 1a and 5a can take place - and hence the complete closure of the tanks by means of the projections 6 cover 5.
Appropriate protrusions 12, in the edges 5a of the cover 5 and corresponding recesses
13 in the perimeter edge of the support 1 make it possible to center the cover without difficulty on the support, in a single position.
At the level of the depressions 6, indications are engraved or applied in any way, in full or in code, allowing the identification of the antibiotic or the chemotherapeutic agent and, optionally, their concentration in the tank. corresponding. '
The whole is used for the execution of the anti-biogram, that is to say a proof of the sensitivity or resistance of the various microorganisms - taken from the patients - vis-à-vis antibiotics and agents
