<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

"Packaging materials for fatty products"
The present invention relates to a packaging material for fatty products, in particular fatty food products such as butter, margarine and other foods oomprante a large proportion of fat.
Hitherto) for wrapping such products, complex packaging comprising a parchment paper, that is to say a paper which has undergone a special chemical treatment to make it impervious to grease, has been used, such paper being against. -glued on a thin sheet of aluminum.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Such packages therefore use a very special paper, therefore relatively expensive, and in addition, they have the convenience of delaminating with moisture.
The present invention contemplates the use of common materials for making complex packages, more particularly materials which have not undergone any special treatment to render them impervious to grease. The invention further contemplates obtaining packaging materials which do not delaminate.
For this purpose, a packaging material for fatty products, according to the invention, consists of an inner layer of plain paper with a very tight texture, an intermediate film binding a thermoplastic material and a outer cover sheet, the inner layer and the cover sheet being bonded together by the intermediate film, thereby forming a unitary complex assembly.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description given below, by way of nonlimiting example.
The embodiment proposed according to the invention supposes the use of a complex employing, as binder, a thermoplastic material in fila, provided between an ordinary paper with a very tight texture ce and an outer covering sheet, and / in addition special anti-grease paper running against glue on a thin aluminum sheet.
When referring to an inner layer in this specification, the layer of the complex package, which will be in contact with the packaged fat, is contemplated, while when referring to an outer cover sheet It is therefore contemplated that the sheet will be visible when a fatty product has been packaged using a packaging material according to the invention.

As regards the inner layer of paper, therefore, it is possible to use an ordinary paper with a very tight texture, not treated.

This paper may be white, colored in the mass or tinted on the surface by known methods.
The intermediate film will therefore be constituted by a thermoplastic material which will not be chosen especially as a function of a more or less resistance to greases but rather as a function of its binding qualities. It could be for example polyethylene.
The outer cover sheet may be con-

The complex packaging according to the invention can literally be carried out by c1, arag8, exttusivn, extrusion-laminating or any other coating or coating process depending on whether the plastics used are in the form of a prefabricated film, of a molten material, emulsion or other form, whether or not requiring the intervention of drying or refrigeration.

It will obviously be understood that the invention is not limited to the particular embodiment described, since a certain number of 'Variants can obviously be envisaged, without thereby departing from the scope of the present patent.
