Latifolia et plus particulièrement de la Funtumine et de la Funtumidine alcaloïdes principaux du Funtumis latifolia (apocynacéa) à partir de feuilles fraîches de cette plante;

<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

This solvent can be a chlorine solvent such as ehloroferate, dichloromethane, dichlorethane, trichlor4thylènte

The solvent phase is evaporated to dryness if the total crude bases are stored in salified form.
The solvent phase can also be washed with a

alkaline solution and in this case, by evaporation to dryness, crude bases are obtained instead of a salt,
Approximately 400 g of bases are then obtained as in Example F. 1.
F. 3 - FIXATTON ON RESIN
To avoid the precipitation of bases or the use of solvent, one can also resort to methods of fixation on ion exchange resins.
A strong cationic resin will be used which makes it possible to work hot. The acidic solution deprived of the alkaloid is sent back to the extraction of the plant material. The fixed alkaloid is eluted with alkaline methanol and by concentration in vacuo, a crude base residue is obtained.
F.- 4- INSTANT EVAPORATION.
The acidic water kept hot are sent to an apparatus with instantaneous evaporation by mist, The powder collected this consists of a mixture containing among others and in particular the alkaloid salt and the excess of acid in the case of use of the unique tallow acid. The powder is in this case treated with water to dissolve the excess acid or with a selective solvent for the alkaloid salt, for example methanol or ethanol. The excess acid is thus separated and can be recovered.
The alkaloid salt is treated with an alkali so as to obtain the alkaloid in basic form.
