<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Als voorbeeld, zonder enig begrenzend kar&kter, volgt hierna een meer uitvoerige beschrijving van twee mogelijke doch geenszins beperkte uitvoeringsvormen van de bevestigingsinrichting volgens de uitvinding. Deze beschrijving verwijst naar bijgaande tekening waarop figuur 1 een vooraanzicht weergeeft van een ingebouwd lamparmatuur, waarvan het onderste gedeelte is doorgesneden volgens de lijn I-I van tig.2; figuur 2 een doorsnede weergeeft volgens de lijn II-II van figuur 1; figuur 3 een doorsnede weergeeft volgens de lijn 111-111 van figuur 2;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

"Device for mounting a built-in lamp fitting having a decorative frame and bendable fastening strips.1 *
The invention relates to a device for mounting a lamp fitting which is inserted into an opening in a wall, e.g. for a false ceiling, is built in.
A device for mounting a built-in lamp fitting is known which has a decorative frame and attachable bendable mounting strips, which fixture is placed in an opening of a wall in such a way that, after hooking and bending the strips, the wall is gaped between the frame. and the aforementioned strips. In this case, the decorative candelabra then covers the outer edge of the wall opening, while the fastening strips press against the inner edge of the wall opening.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In order to fix the decorative frame as tightly as possible to the wall, the longitudinal edges of the fastening strips are bent at almost 90 degrees in such a way that the strips have a U-shaped cross-section, while the free longitudinal edges of these rounded portions have a tooth-like effect. When roofs are folded, it is these tooth-shaped edges that are pressed against the inside of the wall.
Although this embodiment achieves a fairly good fastening timing of the luminaire in the wall, it still offers the disadvantage that a complete connection between the decorative frame of the luminaire and the wall is not obtained, leaving a gap between them. existence that is not aesthetically pleasing.
In order to remedy this, in other words to clamp the decorative frame of the lamp fitting tightly and firmly to the wall, according to the main feature of the invention, one or more elastic elements are arranged between the wall and the fixed portion of the lamp fitting.
A preferred embodiment consists of elastic strips on the outside of the mounting of the luminaire, e.g. made of rubber. When the mounting strips are folded up against the inside of the ceiling, the decorative frame of the luminaire is firmly pulled against the ceiling by the elasticity of the rubber strips.
Another preferred embodiment consists in using as elastic element a ring of rubber or the like, which is adhered around the luminaire and against the inner edge of the wall opening and over which the mounting strips of the luminaire are folded over.
Although preferably a full cross-sectional ring will be used, this ring can have any cross-section.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
By using one or more elastic elements according to the invention, ordinary flat bendable mounting strips without special shape can be used which are attached to the luminaire, making the whole mounting device of the luminaire extremely simple, but also very efficient. Due to the bendable mounting strips that can be bent at any place, the luminaires can be suspended in a false ceiling of any thickness.
It goes without saying that the elastic elements can take any shape and dimensions and can be clamped at any place between the wall and the fixed portion of the lamp fixture. Likewise, it goes without saying that instead of elastic strips or an elastic ring, use could be made of separate elastic blocks, each of which would cooperate with one of the fastening strips.
By way of example, without any limiting character, a more detailed description follows below of two possible but by no means limited embodiments of the fastening device according to the invention. This description refers to the accompanying drawing on which figure 1 shows a front view of a built-in lamp fitting, the lower part of which is cut along the line I-I of figure 2; figure 2 represents a cross-section according to line II-II in figure 1; figure 3 represents a cross-section according to the line III-III of figure 2;
figure 4 represents the same cross-section as that represented by figure 3, but wherein the fastening strips of the fitting are provided with strips of an elastic material.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
In Figures 1 to 3, a false ceiling 1 with opening -2 and a built-in spotlight 3 is seen. Before sliding the spotlight in, a ring 4, made of rubber or the like, is first placed against the inner edge of the opening 2. applied.
The spotlight 3 is then slid in until the decorative frame 5 covers the outer edge of the opening 2 and then the bendable fastening strips 6, which are attached against the non-visible part of the frame, 2 are placed over the ring. 1 folded inwards, as can be seen in figure 1.
Due to the elasticity of the ring.! it is obtained that the decorative frame 5 is clamped tightly and firmly to the ceiling 1, without the need for special fastening means, while the luminaire can still be taken out again. Upwards on the frame 2 is fixed a bracket 1 which carries in the top a holder in which axially an atave 9, on which a lamp holder
10 is fixed, can be adjusted and locked by a screw 11.
In figure 4 it is noted that instead of a rubber ring, use can also be made of rubber strips 12 which are glued to the outside of the bendable fastening strips 6. When these strips are folded against the inside of the ceiling, as on the right side of the figure
4 can be noticed, the decorative frame 5 is clamped tightly against the ceiling 1.
It goes without saying that only two such possible embodiments of the mounting device have been described above, which, as explained in the introduction to the text, can come in all kinds of shapes and can be used on any kind of luminaire, provided that it is within the scope to remain by invention.
