<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
D'autres détails et particularités de l'invention ressorti- ront de la description ci-après, donnée à titre d'exemple non limita- tif et en se référant aux dessins annexas, dans lesquels ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
Comme on le voit par la succession représente* aux figures ! 3 et 4, on a en premier lieu (figure 3) un contact entre l'aneau c et la surface 5a du gradin 6; par aprèsà la suite de la pression exercée par le fluide provenant de la partie supérieure* l'anneau ± se déforme dans la direction indiquée par la flèche f, comme on le voit à la figure 4, jusqu'au moment où s'établit le contact entre la surface 5 et le gradin 7, On obtient de cette façon et avant tout que l'élasticité de l'anneau absorbe une bonne partie de l'énergie de butée transmise par le mouvement du fluide à l'organe mobile a du robinet,ce qui permet d'assurer une fermeture douce entre les éléments 5-7;

"Double shut-off valve for liquids, more articulated for central heating installations." 1
The present invention relates to a double closing valve for stopping liquids. more particularly for central heating installations.
The main purpose of the valve designed according to the invention is to ensure a heretical closure without harming, that is to say without damaging the stop member, a drawback which is, on the contrary, usual with the other devices of the mime. like we bought the normal mnroh6.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The valve, of the type comprising a substantially cylindrical body, oral and a movable member mounted in an axial position, inside said hollow body, is characterized in particular by the fact that this movable member, during its rectilinear movement, establishes two closure! ) on seats of the same type of valves.
respectively out of phase with each other, the first seat, encamping a flexible element, being considered as an auxiliary seat in reinforcement of the second, the latter being produced by a rigid means and constituting the main component of the hermetic seal
According to one embodiment, the cylindrical, movable element supports the sealing end made in the shape of a mushroom with a conical head,
having a groove where there is a ring or a ring of elastic material, said ring projecting with respect to the diameter of the cylindrical member, mobile, able to achieve a tight seal on the corresponding seat. flat, consisting of a collar obtained by narrowing the passage hole machined in the body of the valve.
The second closure, which is the main or effective seal, is made between metallic elements, more precisely between the Hundred constituting the head of the mushroom and the true and clean seat of a normal valve, the contact between these two parts. being done without violence, because the previous closure acts in the sound system of a preliminary damping, ensuring the soft closing of the valve of the invention.
The deformation of the elastic element in fact absorbs a large part of the force imposed on the movable member, so that the closing of the valve, as a whole, takes place while protecting the surfaces or edges of intimate contact, which ensures perfect and long-lasting operation, longer than that of the devices known hitherto in this genre.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description below, given by way of non-limiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which;
Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of the invention in a schematic view of a double closure valve
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Figure 2 is an alternative embodiment, where the flexible and elastic element is made with a circular cross section.
Figures 3 and 4 represent a larger scale the two positions correspond respectively to the two phases of the double closing of the valve, as provided by the present invention.
In the drawing we notice, designated by s, the practical organ. cylindrical ment, movable relative to the corresponding valve seat obtained in the body b of the valve; the rod 1 of the member a is provided with an annular groove 2 made upstream of the head 3 which has a mushroom shape.
This groove 2 is housed between the projection 4, also annular, greater than the diameter of the rod 1, and the head 3; in this groove there is a ring ± (figures 1, 3 and 4) made of a flexible material. elastic; the cross section of this ring is rectangular or square,
According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the ring c 'has a shape in circular cross section} of course. The cross section of the groove 2', in which said ring is housed, is also circular. .
The mushroom-shaped aperture of the movable member 1 ends with a conical surface $ and it is precisely this surface which determines, as we will see later. the real and clean closing of the tap.
The hole made in the body of the valve 1 has a narrowing with two annular stages 6 ot 7, making it possible to achieve the double closure. The first of these closures, which has an exclusive protective function, is made between the part of the ring ± made of an elastic material, protruding from the projections 3 and-4 and the piano surface 6a of the first stage 6; the second closure, which constitutes the real valve seal, is made between the conical end face 3 of the head 3 of the organ = bile and the edge 7.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
As can be seen by the succession represents * in the figures! 3 and 4, there is firstly (FIG. 3) a contact between the ring c and the surface 5a of the step 6; subsequently as a result of the pressure exerted by the fluid coming from the upper part * the ring ± deforms in the direction indicated by the arrow f, as seen in figure 4, until the moment when the contact between the surface 5 and the step 7, In this way and above all, the elasticity of the ring absorbs a good part of the stop energy transmitted by the movement of the fluid to the movable member a of the valve , which ensures a soft closing between the elements 5-7;
secondly, a double closure is obtained which isolates two enclosures or chambers 8 and 9, respectively upstream and downstream of the valve closing seat,
In any case, the contact between the annular edge 7 and the conical surface is always ensured, even after possible wear. the of said edge, thanks to the flexibility of the ring ± at the c ', and: ussi thanks to the said conical shape of the surface 5, CLAIMS.
