EMI1.2
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Zie hiervoor o.a. Engels octrooi t.n.v. Thijs Way N=917922 en Australisch octrooi N 236.379 etc.

Description in support of 01'ROIAANYAt38 by name of S.A. 0 0 0 Tu W A Y of which the title reads: # Blig-WIJZL, "TO THE MANUFACTURE OF." AND POUDKRACuï1 M HYJI {A.t1 ...
LISOH BINDING AGENT, THAT AFTER VLMMARTGING MRT 1 V3ClkI "'' b IN RELIABLE TIME FROM 15 MINUTES MN STRRNACHTIO KARAXTJER VRKItxJfF2, WHICH IS SUITABLE FOR 13 FOR BUILDING PURPOSES The invention relates to the manufacture of a hydraulic binder. The main constituents are hydrates and / or sulphates, whereby a stony mass is obtained after mixing with a liquid, preferably water.
According to the patents below, in the name of Thijs Way, it is known how one can manufacture an alpha-semi-hydrate, among other things: Belgian Patent dated 13 June 1962, N 611, 459 and
EMI1.2
Luxembourg dated February 16, 1961, N 39 * 789, This is also evident from a Dutch patent application in the name of Thijs Way Nus 243143, dated September 9, 1959.
1 phase until the production of the binder: It has surprisingly been found that most types of raw gypsum stones with a percentage from 6 µG purity can now be prepared by the following method to an alpha-semi-hydrate, with the highest properties in this field Of course, quality depends on the cleanliness of the stone.
By using this method, which is preferably insulated in a metal pressure vessel closed with patented lids, which can be placed in both horizontal and vertical direction, the boiler water present on the bottom is pre-loaded onto the
EMI1.3
By heating the required pressure temperature and increasing the pressure, for example by means of a pump, to the required pressure, the burning time can be shortened considerably, which means a saving of calories.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Most known processes for the production of semi-hydrated plasters have in common that the pressure required by
EMI2.1
flowing vapor is created, thereby creating a saturated vapor at the same time in the pressure space.
A separate pressure vessel is required for this.
When the required temperature is increased in the pressure space, condensation occurs, as a result of which the (colder) stones to be burned rinse off.
EMI2.2
Moreover, this condensation phenomenon extends the burning time to a great extent, while due to the nature of this method of preparation only certain, graded, suitable types of gypsum stone are suitable for the manufacture of the aforementioned high-tech hydrates.
The method found has 3 advantages: le Shorter burning time, saving calories!
EMI2.3
2: Usability of almost all types of plaster casts; 31 No condensation effect occurs at the resulting pressure / temperature relationship. After all, this produces a relatively drier vapor, which guarantees a faster exit of the determined percentage of crystal water from the (cooking) gypsum stone to be burned,
EMI2.4
This method thus requires that the heating installation be provided with a pre-heating space (A) and with an after-drying space (J), while a water heater (L) is placed in the water at the bottom of the pressure boiler (autoclaate), (see drawing 1). .
The burning effect is increased even more if, during the burning of the rough gypsum stones, which must be of a diameter of at least 2 cm., The pressure is reduced more or less in regular or irregular frequencies and then again reduced.
EMI2.5
height with a control valve (M), thus obtaining the agneintervention method.
This up and down pressure must not be lower than 1 Atu. and not higher than 10 Atu, while the temperature must be above 80 ° C, but below 15 ° C.
This operation takes at least one hour to complete
EMI2.6
after the preheating of the stones in room * AI; nj <h * "t water with the heater (L) has taken place, The after-drying in room J must take place under atmospheric pressure with a temperature below 100,
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
It is generally known that a higher pressure can also be selected for the manufacture of an alpha-halohydrate of higher value.
It is advisable to keep the bricks to be burnt in motion, if they are of small size during the burning process in the pressure chamber (B), which may be standing or lying down. There are various methods for this, one of which is lying down. situation is indicated on drawing NI, with a special construction of the lorries (N).
When using a standing pressure vessel, one could give a rotating movement,
This pressure vessel, also called autoklaat, must then be equipped with blades or other stirring equipment.
In such an arrangement of pressure cylinders with blades, the required results are more quickly achieved when using stones having a maximum of 2 cm.
It is recommended to keep the volume of the printing spaces as small as possible.
Only after the pressure vessel (B) in Fig. I has reached its required capacity, by opening the control valves (H) and (C), the heat from the heating space (F) can be transferred into the preheating space (A) and the post-drying space. (J) allow.
The smaller the autoclaves, i.e. starting at a capacity of at least 5 M, the better quality product is obtained.
It should be remembered that for good preheating and good post-drying, spaces are required which are multiple of the pressure space (B), i.e. these spaces must be able to contain a multiple of the trolleys in relation to the pressure space (B).
After the stones have undergone this treatment, the so-called lagering comes.
It is known that the properties of gypsum stones change after they have been fired and that they stick to the equipment when ground. A truly resistant alpha-halide hydrate is obtained only when the stones have been worked in the right way in the installation found (fig. I). If the water vapor that is not mixed with air is used at atmospheric pressure, good results are achieved, if the whole treatment is controlled in this way, at the end of this treatment, leave the temperature above 80 ° C. and remains below 15000.
This state must be reached in the post-drying room (J), after the autoclate (A) at (P) and valve (H) to room (J) has been opened and (C) closed. The stones must be watered out during the last treatment
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
from the atom of the autoclave, so that a lean material is obtained which does not cak after bearing, for example, when grinding in the crusher and mills. After bearing - as a rule, the longer the aging is. for the product - the material is finely ground in crushers, windbreaks and mixing mills.
The bagging is done by equipment already known in the field, such as is used in cement factories.
The alpha-halohydrate in itself is already an article that is highly desirable, for example for the ceramic industry, the roof tile industry, etc.

20 = phase until the production of the binder.
In addition to taking account of the production of alpha semi-hydrate, the new process also relates to the mixing of this substance with various other substances which perform different functions in the dry mixing with the alpha semi-hydrate.
See for this, among others, English patent t.n.v. Thijs Way N = 917922 and Australian Patent N 236,379 etc.
The following substances are therefore claimed here: A silicon-containing addition of a metal-containing cement, such as, for example, aluminum cement.

By mixing alpha-semi-hydrate with an aluminum coating, kaolin, a 91 borax, lime and kaolin result, a product is obtained which shows very high btginl qualities after it has been mixed with fresh water. For example! With an idiot. where 10% aluminum cement was used, one obtained by mixing 1 binder!

E.e, a, saves molds and calories.
Thus, no drying chambers or expensive heating of the molds are required in the manufacture of building elements, as is the case with the building systems of Oamua and Coignet. A block, which was stored under water for about 3 months after pouring, had a - compressive strength of 350 Kg / cm2.
The advantages of the binder found are the following: a. After an official shrinkage of 378 days: shrink free; b. Great initial strengths in compression and bending tensile; c. Adjustable hardening time; d. Exceptional adhesion, especially? * 'To hardened normal concrete; e. Thermal insulating properties; f. Sound absorbing; g. A very dense structure; h. The binder is pourable, even under water. The V.C.F. ranges from 0.2 to 1, without segregation; j. Elements can immediately be transported, saving storage space; k. Colourfast when mixed with dyes; 1. Resistant to aggressive substances and double bolts; m. Ideal for monolith construction; n. Processable in mold temperature; O.
Great labor intensity; p. Greater stability than normal cements. A mixture of calcium sulphate semi-hydrate with brownmille reite kinker and dextrin in the dry state gives the highest values after mixing with a liquid, preferably water.
