Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1> Appareil utilisant le dénivellement de la surface des eaux de la mer; cette dénivellation provoquée par les vagues elles-mêmes et par la différence de mouvement avec le calme relatif des eaux plus profondes. L'appareil comprend un châssis ou cadre A dans lequel sont montés deux ou plusieurs pales B horizontales mobiles autour d'un axe transversal E et libre- ment mobiles ou bien commandées à l'aide d'un mécanisme. L'appareil est fixé dans deux puits verticaux D sous le navire C et peut être descendu ou remonté à volonté et fixé dans toutes positions intermé- diaire ou horizontale . Ce mouvement est commandé par un mécanisme quelconque à câble, à chaî- ne ou autre arrangement mécanique. Un graissage est prévu dans les paliers E des pales B. La propulsion du navire pourvu de ce propulseur est assuré par les ré- actions horizontales sur les pales B suite aux mouvements du navire provoqués par les vagues, les pales B travaillant en eau relativement calme. Les pales B travaillent à la façon de la "Godille". Un dispositif de blocage F est également prévu pour les pales B, ceci dans le but d'assurer le freinage, ainsi que le renversement du sens de marche du navire. La position de l'appareil ainsi que'son poids sera toujours en rapport avec l'importance du bateau auquel on adjoint ce propulseur; donc suivant lon- gueur et tonnage. **ATTENTION** fin du champ DESC peut contenir debut de CLMS **.
