<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The present invention relates to a device for fixing, on a metal frame, materials with waves or ribs (sheets or other materials), used as roofing or coating elements.
This device is daractérisé in that it is constituted by the combination of a material support, hollow, placed on the metal frame by raising lugs and presenting on its upper face a buttonhole, a head bolt. hook, hooked onto the metal framework and threaded under the support and in said buttonhole, and a nut for retaining the bolt on the upper face of the support, a tightening nut allowing the fixing of the material in the region of its waves or ribs on the retaining nut surmounting the support.
According to a preferred variant of the invention, the buttonhole is of a length allowing the transverse sliding of the hook-head bolt so that the latter can adapt to the different widths of profiles constituting the metal framework.
The support is open on one of its sides parallel to the longitudinal axes of the profiles to allow the passage of the bolt to under the buttonhole in which it is threaded and the side opposite the opening is extended by a tab allowing the support of the support against the profile of the metal frame.
This tab can be folded under the profile if the structure thereof allows.
The advantages of this fixing device are:
1) to support the covering or coating element in one of its ribs or waves thanks to the height of the support, and thus to avoid deformation or crushing of this element when tightening the fixing nut, while ensuring a much better tightening.
2) to be adjustable and therefore adaptable to different profile widths.
3) to be fixed in advance on the frame or metal frame, using the hook bolt, the nut retaining the bolt on the support and the support bracket, which avoids having to maintain it during the installation of the covering or the coating.
Particular embodiments of the device forming the subject of the invention will be described below, by way of indicative and non-limiting examples, with reference to the appended drawing in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a support according to the invention.
FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view of the device mounted on an IPN iron.
Figure 3 is a sectional view of the device mounted on a U-iron.
Figure 4 is a cutaway view of the device mounted on a U-bar and supporting a corrugated covering or liner.
The support 1, metallic or of any other nature, comprises two lateral flanks 16, is open on one of its faces 2 and has a buttonhole 3 on its upper face 4, while its face 5 opposite to the open face 2 is extended downwards by a tab 6. This support 1 is placed, by its lateral flanks 16, on a section of a metal frame so that the tab 6 can be filled under the wing of an iron I by

example (10 in figure 2), or be pressed against a face of a U-shaped iron for example (II in figure 3).
A bolt 7 has a head bent over a hook 8 which allows it to be hooked under a wing of the profile, while its threaded part is threaded, through the open face 2 of the support 1, into the buttonhole 3. The length of the buttonhole allows mounting of the hook head bolt on profiles of different widths.
A retaining nut 9 fixes on the profile 10 or 11 the assembly of the support 1 and the bolt 7 suitably placed.
The device further comprises a washer and a clamping nut, respectively 12 and 130
The corrugated covering or covering material 14 is perforated at the bottom of its corrugations so that it can be threaded onto the bolt 7 above the retaining nut 9. A sealing plate 15 is superimposed on it and the washer 12 on which the nut 13 is tightened, which fixes the covering or coating material on the metal frame 11 (figure 4) with the aforementioned advantages
Other forms of supports and other types of profiles can be envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention.
