Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Supporting documents in support of a patent application filed by Mr. ARNOULD Albert, residing at Yrue Georges Leclercq in Bruxelles-Forest concerning a "Brush fitting system"
I sought to create a very simple and practical system allowing the quick and tool-free attachment of the brush to its handle.

The apparatus, made of high-strength steel wire, of a diameter chosen according to the use for which it is intended, is formed of two identical elements, of suitable shape, 'which are placed one on top of the other but one in one direction, the other in the opposite direction.

The brush handle is held in place by the automatic tightening effected when placing the elements on it and after the clamps of the device have been fixed on the wood of the brush; these clamps are fitted with '' a rubber sleeve to prevent damage to furniture, plinths, etc. when using the brush.

This system is shown in the drawings by way of indication and without limitation.

It consists of a loop (I) of steel wire, suitable 0, the two ends (2) of which are extended. The two ends (3) are folded back to form a hook (4) which is intended to be place on the wood of the brush (5) to hold it securely; the hooks (4) are fitted with a rubber sleeve (6) intended to protect furniture, plinths, etc.

These elements being made of high resistance steel wire are unbreakable and undeformable therefore wear-resistant and can be used to maintain many brushes.

Placement is easy and it only takes a few moments for the brush to be securely held in place at the end of the handle.

By its very shape, the loop in which the handle of the brush has passed tightens itself as soon as the hooks are

fixed on the wood of the latter and as there are two loops to be placed and these are reversed, it is easy to see that the brush is kept bare on its two blanks to be firmly wedged, especially as the handle e the brush being inserted into the hole made for this purpose in the back of the brush is thus immobilized and serves as a support for the sytens,
The device is very light, fits without any tools and comes with an anti-rust color.

CLAIM I claim as being my invention the fact of having created a new sys tem for fitting the brush handles consisting of a high resistance steel wire forming a spring loop, the two ends of which are extended and provided with? ends of these hooks carrying a rubber mancl, so that when one seeks to bring the two ends together, this has the effect of reserving * the loop which thereby exerts on the handle which is introduced into it with very strong pressure which prevents it from coming loose and holds it in place. To hold the brush, the handle must be introduced into the loops of the two elements of the system and then inserted into the hole in the back of the brush, the loops are then lowered to the desired height to allow the hooks previously brought together. on the other and by releasing them to grip the wood of the brush; the latter is thus held firmly by the pressure exerted by the loops. tightened.
