L'invention a pour objet des perfectionnements aux appareils desti- nés à lancer des projectiles et particulièrement aux jouets destinés à lancer des projectiles.
Les appareils actuellement connus sont constitués d'un tibe dans lequel peut coulisser contre l'action d'un ressort un piston destiné à envoyer le projectile. Ils comportent des organes pour maintenir le pis- ton dans urie position où le ressort est comprimé et des organes pour libérer ledit piston,une butée étant prévue pour limiter le coulisse- ment de ce dernier.
Ces appareils étant généralement posés soit par terre soit sur une table,ils ne permettent pas d'envoyer les projectiles dans différentes directions.
L'invention permet de remédier à cet inconvénient et est caractérisa en ce que le piston porte à sa partie supérieure un réceptacle pour le projectile,ce réceptacle étant articulé sur un axe latérale perpendicu- laire à la direction de déplacement du piston
L'axe latéral du réceptacle peut être porté par une plaquette arti- culée sur le piston parallèlement à la direction de déplacement de ce dernier .
Le bord latéral du réceptacle peut comporter un prolongement sus- ceptible de venir contre une butée disposée à l'extrémité supérieure dt du tube. '
L'appareil peut être combiné avec un plateau.
Le plateau peut porter à sa périphérie un rebord souple,ce rebord

étant de préférence un filet.
L'invention va maintenant être décrite avec plus de détails en se ré- férant à un mode de réalisation particulier donné à titre d'exemple seu- lement et représenté aux dessins annexés.

Tel qu'il est représenté aux figures l'appareil est constitué de pied I sur lesquels s'érige un tube 2 qui porte à sa partie supé- rieure un plateau 3 reposant sur un épaulement 4 solidaire de tube.
A sa périphérie le plateau est pourvg d'un filet 5 et sur sa face supérieure il peut comporter des inscriptions telles que des chiffres par exemple.
Dans le tube 2 peut. coulisser un piston 6 monté contre l'action d' un ressort 7 prenant appui, d'une part sur le fond du piston 6 dans un logement 8 et d'autre part sur une butée 9 solidaire du tube 2.
A sa partie inférieure le piston 6 est prolongé part une tige IO dont l'extrémité opposée au piston comporte un épaulement II susceptible de venir coopérer avec une came 12 solidaire d'une pédale 13 articulée en 14 sur l'un des pieds 1 de l'appareil.
Cette pédale 13 peut pivoter contre l'action d'un ressort 15 qui tend à placer la came 12 dans la position où elle peut coopérer avec 1' épaulement II de la tige 10 lorsque l'on comprime le ressort 7 en agissar, sur un doigt 16 solidaire du piston 6 et pouvant se déplacer dans une rainure 17 pratiquée dans le tube 2.
On conçoit ainsi aisément que pour armer l'appareil il suffit de pousser le doigt 16 Vers le bas jusqu'à ce que l'épaulement II passe sous la came 12 et qu'il suffit pour faire remonter le piston d'appuyer sur la pédale 13 qui libère alors la tigeIO et par conséquent le piston, celui-ci remontant alors jusqu' au moment ou le doigt 16 vient buter conte tre l'extrémité supérieure de la fente 17.
Sur la face supérieure du piston, en son centre est situé un axe 18 autour duquel peut pivoter une plaquette 19 portant un axe 20 situé per- pendioulairement à la direction du piston 6 et- sur lequel peut pivoter un réceptacle 21 ,
Ce réceptacle 21 comporte à proximité de l'axe 20un prolongement 22 susceptible de venir, dans la position haute du piston, contre une bu-

tée 23 située à la partie supérieure du tube 2.
Le fonctionnement de l'appareil est le suivant :
On place dans le réceptacle 21 un projectile, on arme l' appareil, puis agissant sur la pédale 13 on libère le piston 6,celui-ci s'arrête alors t brutalement lorsque le doigt 16 vient au contact de l'extrémité supérieur de la fente 17,le prolongement 22 du réceptacle 21 vient en même temps coe opérer avec la butée 23 et ledit réceptacle par l'inertie, basculant lance le projectile.
Si l'on désire faire varier la direction du projectile, il suffira de faire pivoter la plaquette 19 autour de son axe 18.
L'appareil suivant l'invention peut constituer un jeu amusant. La face supérieure du plateau 3 comportant pae exemple des cases,chacune de ces cases comportant un numéro, chaque joueur devra pour gagner placer le pro- juectile, par exemple une balle dans la case correspondant au. plus grand chiffre,il pourra pour guider le projectile faire varier la position du réceptacle sans avoir la certitude que ltdit projectile vienne dans la

The subject of the invention is improvements to apparatus intended to launch projectiles and particularly to toys intended to launch projectiles.
Currently known devices consist of a tib in which can slide against the action of a spring a piston intended to send the projectile. They comprise members for maintaining the piston in a position where the spring is compressed and members for releasing said piston, a stop being provided to limit the sliding of the latter.
As these devices are generally placed either on the ground or on a table, they do not allow projectiles to be sent in different directions.
The invention overcomes this drawback and is characterized in that the piston carries at its upper part a receptacle for the projectile, this receptacle being articulated on a lateral axis perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the piston.
The lateral axis of the receptacle can be carried by a plate articulated on the piston parallel to the direction of movement of the latter.
The lateral edge of the receptacle may include an extension capable of coming against a stop placed at the upper end dt of the tube. '
The device can be combined with a tray.
The tray can have a flexible rim at its periphery, this rim

As shown in the figures, the apparatus consists of feet I on which is erected a tube 2 which carries at its upper part a plate 3 resting on a shoulder 4 integral with the tube.
At its periphery, the plate is provided with a net 5 and on its upper face it may have inscriptions such as numbers for example.
In the tube 2 can. slide a piston 6 mounted against the action of a spring 7 bearing on the one hand on the bottom of the piston 6 in a housing 8 and on the other hand on a stop 9 integral with the tube 2.
At its lower part the piston 6 is extended by a rod IO whose end opposite the piston comprises a shoulder II capable of cooperating with a cam 12 integral with a pedal 13 articulated at 14 on one of the feet 1 of the 'apparatus.
This pedal 13 can pivot against the action of a spring 15 which tends to place the cam 12 in the position where it can cooperate with the shoulder II of the rod 10 when the spring 7 is compressed in action, on a finger 16 integral with piston 6 and able to move in a groove 17 made in tube 2.
It is thus easily understood that to arm the device it suffices to push the finger 16 downwards until the shoulder II passes under the cam 12 and it is sufficient to raise the piston to press the pedal. 13 which then releases the rod 10 and consequently the piston, the latter then rising until the finger 16 comes into contact with the upper end of the slot 17.
On the upper face of the piston, in its center is located an axis 18 around which can pivot a plate 19 carrying an axis 20 located perpendicularly to the direction of the piston 6 and on which a receptacle 21 can pivot,
This receptacle 21 comprises near the axis 20 an extension 22 capable of coming, in the high position of the piston, against a stopper.
