La présente invention est relative à un presse-étoupe, spéciale- ment pour installations électriques, comportant une partie filetée et une partie taraudée,dont une des deux au moins présente extérieurement une , forme correspondant à celle de la partie intérieure d'une clef,d'une clef anglaise par exemple .
La forme susdite est généralement polygonale dans la coupe per- pendiculaire à l'axe du presse-étoupe.
On a souvent constaté que cette forme polygonale permet de trop comprimer la partie élastique se trouvant à l'intérieur du presse-:-étoupe et,par conséquent, de provoquer l'éclatement ou la casse du corps du presse- étoupe.L'étanchéité qu'on veut obtenir est alors devenue complètement illusoire.
La présente invention a essentiellement pour but de remédier à cet inconvénient et de réaliser un presse-étoupe dont les deux parties extérieures ne peuvent pas être vissées l'une dans l'autre d'une manière tellement forte qu'une des parties, la partie taraudée éclate ou casse sous l'action d'un serrage exagéré.
A cet effet, la forme citée en premier lieu est constituée par des saillies.
D'autres détails et avantages de l'invention ressortiront de la description d'un presse-étoupe selon l'invention,donnée ci-après à titre d'exemple non limitatif et avec référence aux dessins ci-annexés.
La figure est une vue en coupe selon un plan passant par l'axe d'un presse-étoupe selon l'invention.
La figure 2 est une vue en couper selon la ligne II-II de la figure 1.
Dans les deux figures les mêmes notations de référence désignent des éléments identiques.
Le presse-étoupe représenté aux figures présente une partie file- tée 1 et une partie taraudée 2.Entre ces deux éléments, il est évidemment prévu un anneau élastique 3.Au-dessus et en dessous de l'anneau,il est prévu également des rondelles métalliques 4 et 5.Pour comprimer la partie élastique 3,on fait usage d'une clef anglaise ou autre dont la forme de la partie intérieure est adaptée à la forme extérieure de ,la partie supérieure (selon la figure 1) de l'élément fileté 1.Toutefois,selon l'invention,la clef vient uniquement en contact avec les saillies 6.Si' un effort trop puis- sant est exercé, tout au plus une des saillies se détachera de l'élément 1 et ceci se produira certainement avant-que l'effort exercé serait assez fort pour provoquer l'éclatement ou la casse de l'élément 2.
Il doit être entendu que l'invention n'est nullement limitée à la forme décrite ci-avant et que bien des modifications peuvent y être ' apportées notamment quant à la forme, au nombre, à la composition et à la position des éléments intervenant dans sa réalisation, sans sortir du cadre de la présente demande de brevet.
