To connect two directly juxtaposed receptacles between them, the Belgian patent? 504.393 suggests a joint consisting of an elastic sleeve (sleeve), one end of which is pressed by means of a screw or clamp connection against an opening of one of the two receptacles to be connected together, while the other end engages in a pot-shaped inner liner, which is in the adjoining wall of the other receptacle, where this socket is applied under pressure by means of another connecting member to screw or clamp. The two ends of the elastic sleeve are bent 90 inwards, each of these ends engaging a screw seal provided with a collar.
The connection of two receptacles to one another in the manner forming the subject of the aforementioned patent assumes that it is possible to access with a key the screw assembly at least by one of these receptacles, for example through an opening made in the upper container and closed with a lid. However, in constructions where such access is impossible, but where there is access, albeit only limited, between the two containers, the present invention offers a new solution for the screw assembly connecting the two containers.
According to the invention, the elastic connection with a tight or hermetic seal, of two receptacles between them, is ensured by means of a coupling sleeve consisting of an elastic body of short length, in the form of a hose, of which the two ends are curved outwardly and are each engaged in a suitably shaped flange from sleeve to sleeve. screw, so that, when tightening this sleeve, the edges of the elastic body are clamped against the corresponding fittings of the containers.
The intermediate part of the coupling sleeve is advantageously convex, in order to be sufficiently flexible and expandable in the longitudinal direction.
To increase the resistance of the cuff against internal pressure surges, the thickness of the walls of the latter increases from the ends towards the middle.
Under mounting conditions where the gap between the two receptacles to be interconnected is particularly limited, the coupling sleeve according to the invention does not have a symmetrical shape! relative to its midplane, but is set so that one end can be slid into the other.
It is known, in order to establish an elastic coupling between pipes, to insert, between the pipes to be coupled together, elastic bodies in the form of guts, the edges of which are curved on the outside are pressed, using attached flanges. and a number of screws, against a complementary flange. However, in pipe couplings there is always a large space on the c8té of the ends of the pipes, so that any mode of coupling can be adapted. The problem of establishing a particularly simple connection, of small bulk in length, and which is accessible and easy to handle through a narrow gap existing between two receptacles, does not arise in such normal couplings for pipes.
The invention therefore aims exclusively at solving the problem of an appropriate removable connection, waterproof or hermetic, intended to directly connect two facing walls of two closely juxtaposed containers.
Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the accompanying drawings.

The same arrangement could be adopted for the connections 13 and 3, in the event that the distance 20a or 20 is still too great.
