MACHINE ELECTRIQUE FERMEE A REFROIDISSEMENT SUPERFICIEL.

CLOSED ELECTRIC MACHINE WITH SUPERFICIAL COOLING.
The present invention relates to a closed electric machine with surface cooling with a short-circuited rotor and air channels in the rotor for the passage of a stream of fresh air. In the known machines comprising this air guiding system, air guiding plates of cylindrical shape or the like, the ends of which constitute a labyrinth seal with elements of the casing, have been fixed to the rotor plate packs. The rotor winding is on the outside of the cylinder. This embodiment has various drawbacks, the rotor losses are only evacuated indirectly by the guide plates. In addition, the sealing of the closed machine chamber, in particular when the rotating guide plates are not sufficiently stiff, has drawbacks.
The present invention overcomes these drawbacks. According to the invention, the short-circuited winding is located inside the fresh air channel. A suitable embodiment is obtained when the stator chamber is separated on both sides of the sheet pack from the rotor chamber by tubular pieces fixed on each side to the stator. It is true that the stator chamber has already been hermetically separated from the rotor chamber in electric machines operating in a liquid medium, by means of a tube passing through the air gap. However, in these machines, so-called split tube machines , the purpose of the seal is to protect the heads of the stator winding from harmful influences from the circulating liquid.
The invention will be described in more detail with reference to the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.

In the stator housing 2 with external cooling fins 1 is mounted the stator plate pack 3 with the stator winding 4. On the shaft 5 is mounted the rotor plate pack 6 with the short-circuited winding 7 and the air channels 8. The two bearing carrier shields 9 and 10 have air exhaust openings, 11 and 12 respectively. On the outside of the bearing carrier shield 10 is arranged a double fan 13, which draws a stream of cool air through the rotor plate pack and a second stream of fresh air from the front side. The two air streams meet behind the fan and are directed by the air cap 14 along the rear of the stator housing.
The stator winding heads 15 and 16 are separated from the rotor chamber by the repeating tubes 17 and 18 respectively. These tubes are applied on the one hand against the package of stator sheets, on the other hand against a steel ring, 19 and 20 respectively The Repelite tubes, together with the steel rings, hermetically separate the stator chamber from the chamber rotoric.
The invention has the following advantages: Since the rotor winding is in the path of one of the fresh air streams, the losses developed there are directly discharged. In addition, the elements which surround the stator chamber are fixed, so that the sealing does not present any difficulties and is absolutely safe.
