DISPOSITIF POUR COUPER DES TRANCHES AU MOYEN D'UN OUTIL EN FORME DE DISQUE
CIRCULAIRE.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

DEVICE FOR CUTTING SLICES BY MEANS OF A DISC-SHAPED TOOL
CIRCULAR.
The invention relates to a device for cutting slices by means of a tool in the form of a circular disc, for example: circular saw blade, bleeding wheel or the like, in which either the workpiece or the tool disc can rotate about an axis disposed at a distance from the longitudinal axis of the workpiece. Devices of this kind are known, for example, so-called oscillating saws, in which the workpiece is stationary and in which the circular saw blade, suspended from relatively long pivoting oscillating arms, advances practically in a straight line. straight line across the workpiece.
@ Devices to be cut are also known, in which the part to be machined, while advancing in a rectilinear manner, additionally rotates around its longitudinal axis. It is also known, when using saws with a reciprocating rectilinear saw blade, to rotate the workpiece in a constant manner around its longitudinal axis during the cut.
The invention is based on the fact that in known devices there is rapid wear of the cutting edge of the circular saw blade, or of the bleeding wheel, because the chips, removed by each tooth of the blade or by each grain of the grinding wheel, present, from the initiation of the cut, a certain thickness and the tooth or the grain are already very strongly stressed as soon as the cut is initiated. In addition, some known devices give rise to a very rapid and, in some cases, uneven increase in tension, which leads to excessive and uneven stress on the tooth or grain, which results in rapid wear of the disc. -tool, which can go as far as the inopportune tearing of the cutting edge or grain.

These drawbacks can be eliminated by the arrangements which form the subject of the invention and which aim to produce a conical chip, the starting thickness of which is practically zero and which presents, over its entire length, a gradual increase in its thickness.
To achieve the production of such conical chips, the invention proposes to arrange the pivot axis between the workpiece and the tool disc so that it passes through the first point of contact between the tool disc and the part. to be machined at the point where the cut begins, or, if the axis of rotation of the disc-tool is fixed, to arrange the part to be machined in a pivotable manner in the direction of rotation of this disc-tool and / or , if the part to be machined is stationary, to arrange the disc-tool in a pivotable manner in the opposite direction of its rotation.
When cutting tube slices, the conical chip shape described above is only maintained as long as the tool disc does not pass through the inner surface of the tube, i.e. until the cut of the inner wall of the tube is initiated. In order to obtain conical chips throughout the duration of the cutting of the tubes, the invention further proposes to additionally arrange the part to be machined in a rotary manner around its longitudinal axis and to engage the rotation of said part around its longitudinal axis after cutting the tube wall.
Next, the invention proposes, for the fixing of the workpieces in the form of bars, a rotation body disposed laterally to the tool disc, the axis of rotation of which coincides approximately with that of the pivot axis. aforementioned, this rotating body bearing two axially parallel and diametrically opposed bores each to receive a bar-shaped workpiece and being further equipped with jaws or clamping screws for fixing said parts. It is important that the bearing of the rotating body can slide transversely to the axis of rotation.
The jaws or the clamping screws are arranged so that the workpiece can be clamped, symmetrically with respect to the diameter determined by the center of the bores of the rotating body against the walls of said bores and in the direction of the axis of rotation of the rotating body.
Some embodiments, given by way of example, are shown schematically in the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 shows a cutting device with a circular tool disc in the form of a circular saw blade for cutting solid transverse slices of a workpiece.
Fig. 2 shows a cutting device for tubular workpieces and FIG. 3 the shape of the bar-shaped workpiece fixture.
Reference 2 designates the tool in the form of a circular disc: a saw blade. Item 3 is the part to be machined, which, in the exemplary execution according to fig. 1, has a solid cross section, while the workpiece shown in Figure 2 has a tubular cross section. At the start of cutting, the saw blade 2 and the workpiece 3 meet at point 1, which is therefore the first point of contact.
If, in the device according to FIG. 1 the workpiece 3 is fixed and if the saw blade rotates in the direction of arrow 5 around its axis of rotation 4 and if this saw blade 2 rotates, in the direction of arrow 6, around the pivot axis 1 perpendicular to the plane of the drawing and passing through the aforementioned first point of contact, each sawtooth will remove a conical chip 12, the thickness of which is practically zero at the starting point of the cut and of which the thickness gradually increases along the length of the chip until the end of the cut. When pivoting the saw blade 2 around the pivot axis in the direction of arrow 6, the axis of rotation 4 of the circular saw blade travels through the arc 13.
The direction of rotation 5 of
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the saw blade and the direction of its pivoting 6 are opposite,
Instead of fixing the workpiece and rotating the saw blade 2 around the pivot axis 1, the saw blade can be fixed; in this case, the workpiece 3 is rotated around the pivot axis 1; the direction of rotation 5 of the circular saw blade and the direction of rotation of the workpiece must be identical.
In the device according to FIG. 2 for cutting pipe sections, the tube is primed first in the same way as in the cutting device according to FIG. 1, and this until the saw blade has started cutting the inner wall of the tube at point 14, At the time of priming at point 14, the tube 3 is rotated around its longitudinal axis 7 in direction of arrow 15, until complete separation.In the tube cutting device shown, the circular saw blade turns to the left, in the direction of arrow 5, if the axis of rotation 4 is fixed .
The tubular workpiece 3 is rotated in the direction of arrow 15 until the starting moment at point 14 of the inner wall, that is to say in the direction of rotation 5 of the circular saw blade. - circular 2 around the pivot axis 1 passing through the first latching point at the outer periphery of the tube. During the rotation of the tubular workpiece to be machined around its longitudinal axis 7 in the direction of arrow 15, it is also produced, after the initiation of cutting at point 14, conical chips 16 corresponding to the chips 12 of the first cutting phase.
Figo 3 shows the device according to the invention for holding workpieces in the form of bars. It consists of a rotation body 8 arranged laterally to the saw blade or to the grinding wheel 2. In the drawing, the rotation body 8 is disposed behind the tool disc 2. This rotation body is rotatably supported around the axis of rotation 9 perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. This axis of rotation 9 is located approximately in the extension of the pivot axis of the example of execution according to FIG. 1. The rotation body 8 has two bores 10 which are diametrically opposed to the axis of rotation 9.
These bores serve for the simultaneous reception of two bar-shaped workpieces 3. The arrows 11 indicate the clamping screws which act symmetrically to the diameter passing through the centers of the bores 10 in the direction of the arrows 11 and which tighten the workpieces against the wall parts of the bores 10, which are closest to the axis of rotation 9. The tool disc 2 rotates in the example shown in the direction of the arrow 5 (clockwise).
The rotation body 8 also rotates clockwise as indicated by the arrow 17. In addition, the rotation body 8 can slide transversely with respect to its axis of rotation, so as to be able to adapt its position. position at the different diameters of the tool disc 2.
