AXE A EMBOITEMENT, A ACCOUPLEMENT ELASTIQUE, POUR MOTOCYCLETTES ET
VEHICULES ANALOGUES.

SHAFT WITH SNAP, WITH ELASTIC COUPLING, FOR MOTORCYCLES AND
SIMILAR VEHICLES.
The invention relates to the construction of motorcycles provided with an interlocking axle, in which the brake drum and the chain sprocket are housed in the rear part of the frame.
Interlocking axle constructions and easily removable wheels are known, in which when disassembly becomes necessary, for example in a tire damage, the brake drum and the drive chain remain in the frame and alone. the wheel is removed. The difficulty in this construction of a known type lies in the wear-resistant and easily removable execution of the connection between the wheel to be dismantled and the brake drum remaining in the frame, which drum carries at the same time the 'training.
There are known embodiments in which the two removable parts joined together (spoke-drum and brake drum) are united by means of toothing or by means of screws, bores and journals or means. analogues.
The known means, used to date, have however either led to a rigid assembly, and therefore difficult to dismantle, or given rise to a rigid assembly, although easily removable, but therefore very expensive, by means of claws or journals, which engaged in bores, which were provided with elastic members. In these embodiments, a meticulous shaping of the separate pieces was, moreover, necessary.
The object of the present invention is to achieve the union between the spoke drum and the brake drum using simple parts not

processed, which produce a solid assembly which is particularly simple and economical in construction and very flexible in operation.
The invention resides in the fact that the hub of the wheel, fixed to the rim by means of spokes, is connected to the drum of the f-kidney, carrying the toothed crown of the toothed pinion, via elastic members which are fixed on protruding journals of the brake drum and are arranged spaced apart from each other in such a way that between the two journals of each pair thereof a space is formed into which a protrusion of the spoke drum penetrates.
In the drawing, the invention is shown by way of example according to one embodiment. Fig. 1 shows the hub of the rear wheel of a motorcycle, in cross section; fig. 2 is a longitudinal section relating thereto.
The brake drum carries a number of journals a, arranged in a circle, forged or coming from the foundry, which, in the exemplary embodiment, are made of round shape, in this case of tubular shape, but which can also be formed angularly or as solid cylindrical bodies. On these journals a are fixed elastic buffer segments b, having a bore corresponding to the journals a, which bore is located substantially in the center of each buffer segment. The segments b, distributed equally over the circumference and fixed to the journals a, are formed in such a way and their spacing from each other is chosen such that, between the two buffers of each pair, there is forms a space which serves to receive a projection c from the drum of the spokes d, also forged or coming from a foundry.
The projections c can be used without having been worked.
The buffer segments b are made of rubber, leather or other elastic material. The segments are held on the journals a by their own tension or by locking using suitable means.
When removing the rear wheel, the shoes remain attached to the brake drum, which is not removed with the wheel. The various drive journals a are each surrounded, in the exemplary embodiment, by a heat-insulating sleeve e, which sleeve reduces the heat flow from the brake drum. to segments. The forces are transferred from the brake drum to the spoke drum via the journals a, the buffer rings b and the radial projections c. The buffer segments b rest, in the embodiment chosen, on protuberances f of the hub of the wheel.
Thanks to the large surfaces and the elasticity of the segments b, it is possible to transmit great forces through these segments, without the lack of precision resulting from the simplicity of the execution being felt disadvantageously in the operation. .
