EXECUTION OF SWIVEL BEARING SHAFTS IN THE VERTICAL PLANE, FOR THE WORKING TOOLS OF A VEHICLE, FOR EXAMPLE, OF A TRACTOR FOR THE
NEEDS OF THE ROAD, AGRICULTURE AND OTHERS.
In agricultural tractors, it is known to separately attach a coupling rail for the working tools and a coupling for attaching the series of agricultural trailers to the traction machine.
In main patent N 503,481 of May 24, 1951, it was proposed to arrange the two coupling devices between two pivoting shafts so that it is possible to pivot them 180, to immobilize them and to adjust their height. In this case, the coupling of the coupling devices with the pivoting shafts is such that it is possible to additionally mount on each pivoting shaft other work tools.
When agricultural equipment is mounted on both pivot shafts, regardless of whether it is a reciprocating plow in which the two pivot shafts raise and lower independently of each other, or another type of plow, a clearing machine, a harrow, etc. for which the two pivoting shafts are actuated simultaneously in the same direction, neither the traction rail nor the coupling for trailers are required. These installations then occupy a precious place, opposing the aim pursued, namely: the maximum approximation of the equipment of the traction machine.
The invention takes this requirement into account and enables the coupling rail to be mounted identically with the trailer coupling as separate equipment which can be replaced by other equipment. This is all the more necessary since, in the case of reversible equipment, such as reciprocating plows and the like, the traction rail, connecting the pivot shafts, must be removed.
The invention resides in the fact that a transverse connection, made

edged at one of its sides in the form of a pulling rail for agricultural implements and, on the other side, in the center, in the form of a coupling for trailers, can be arranged and immobilized, by its two ends provided with pins, in bearings which form one of the ends of a plug oriented perpendicular to the transverse rail, said plug is introduced and immobilized in the ends of the pivoting shafts.
One embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of the rear part of a tractor.
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the arrangement shown in FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 shows the ends of the pivot shafts with the traction rail removed.
In the executions according to figs, 1 and 2, the two pivoting shafts 2 are arranged at the rear part of the traction rail 1 so as to be able to pivot; the ends 3 of said pivot shafts are produced in the form of tool holders. These tool holders are used at the same time for receiving and fixing a transverse rail 4 which can pivot in the two bearings 5. The two bearings 5 form one of the ends of the dowels 6 which are introduced. in the pivot shafts 3 and which can be immobilized in the position in which they were inserted by means of the studs 7.
The transverse rail 4, carrying on its opposite sides the traction rail for agricultural implements 8 and the coupling for trailers 9, is relatively arranged in the bearings 5 and can be immobilized in two positions by the studs 10, so that 'It is possible to orient either the traction rail 8 or the coupling 9 towards the rear.
