   La présente invention a pour objet un nouveau boyau en caout- chouc, particulièrement   avantageuxo   
Il est connu d'augmenter la-rigidité des boyaux en caoutchouc à l'égard des flexions par une augmentation du moment d'inertie de la sur- face transversale perpendiculaire à   l'axe,   en formant le boyau avec des ner-- vures longitudinales faisant saillie vers l'extérieur et disposées à un certain écartement l'une de   l'autreo   Un tel profil présente cependant l'in- convénient qu'il se forme de cette manière des canaux ou évidements longitu- dinaux aptes à recevoir des saletés, plus spécialement à leurs bords infé- rieurs, en rendant ainsi plus difficile le maintien à l'état propre du boyau et en influençant d'une manière défavorable sa valeur d'usage. 



   Le boyau en caoutchouc suivant la présente invention ne présen- te pas cet inconvénient car sa périphérie constitue un polygone à côtés é- gaux ou inégaux, par exemple un polygone à 12 côtés, ou à 6 côtés, à 5 cô- tés, etc. 



   Grâce à cette conformation, on obtient d'un côté une augmenta- tion du moment d'inertie de la section transversale perpendiculaire à l'axe, et on évite les évidements ou canaux pouvant recevoir des saletés. 



   Quant au nombre de côtés du polygone à choisir, cela dépendra des nécessités de chaque cas particulier. 



   Dans le dessin ci-joint, on a montré schématiquement et en coupe un boyau en caoutchouc suivant l'invention   d'après-   plusieurs modes de réali- sation.

     Fig.-1   par exemple montre un boyau dont la section   droite est     constitùée   en périphérie par un polygone à 12 côtés égaux. Fig. 2 montré un boyau dont là section droite est un polygone à   8 cotés   égaux, et la fi- gure 3 montre un boyau dont.la section droite est un hexagone irrégulier.
