Dans le brevet Noo 506 471 il a été décrit un robinet à boisseau et carotte, dont la carotte est équipée d'éléments d'étanchéité en caout- chouc synthétique ou matière plastique élastique équivalente ; carot- te est munie de part et d'autre du passage central de blocs ou coussins en caoutchouc encastrés dans le métal et la face externe de ces coussins, bien usinée, forme joint étanche avec le boisseau, tant dans le sens axial de la carotte que dans le sens axial des passages du boisseau, le robinet étant ouvert ou fermé.
La présente invention consiste en un perfectionnement à ce ro- binet et consiste'notamment à créer sur la face interne des dits coussins, face rapprochée, de l'axe de la carotte, un évidement substantiel qui crée un espace occlus entre le coussin et le fond du logement usiné dans la ca-- rotte, ledit évidement communiquant avec l'extérieur de la carotte par un forage de,section convenable, la disposition étant telle que le robinet étant fermé, le fluide sous pression pénétrant dans le boisseau remplit l'évidement du coussin respectif, de façon à provoquer une expansion du coussin et par conséquent un joint étanche aux faces de contact entre carot- te et boisseau. Cet évidement peut avoir une forme quelconque, mais une forme en section ou calotte de sphère est préférable.
La figure du dessin annexé montre en coupe le robinet perfection- né selon l'invention.
Les coussins 1 sont évidés en 2 au fond de leur logement d'en- castrement et un forage 3 dans le coussin débouchant dans l'évidement en sens axial, peut mettre ledit évidement en communication avec le passage d'un raccord de boisseau, quand le robinet est fermé. L'effet technique ainsi obtenu est évident par lui-même.
