ECRAN-ANT I-EBLOUIS SANT.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

ECRAN-ANT I-EBLOUIS SANT.
There are many types of screens, in particular for the use of vehicle drivers and tending to avoid or suppress the glare caused by the headlights of oncoming vehicles.
In general, the known screens more or less effectively attenuate the glare of the headlights of vehicles traveling in the opposite direction to the vehicle equipped with these screens, but they all have the drawback of greatly reducing the vision of the vehicle. route by the driver who uses them.
This drawback is eliminated by the screen which is the subject of the present invention and which absorbs or stops most of the dazzling light rays while providing perfect visibility of the road.
In principle, the screen according to the invention consists of a window consisting of one or more blades of glass, ice, Plexiglas or other translucent or transparent clear or colored synthetic or plastic materials, this window is covered or coated with a metallic deposit or with a very fine dye deposit intended to stop dazzling rays and which is produced in such a way as not to affect the transparency of the screen.
Said glazing is, in a known manner, covered or provided with an inner layer of a plastic material such as cellulose acetate, vinyl resin or the like, so as to produce a so-called safety glazing.
The metallic or dye deposit covering the screen or placed between the constituent elements of the latter, is obtained by incorporating metals or dyes in the colloidal state in the plastic material which is used as an internal or external reinforcement of the screen. glazing constituting the screen.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
According to an alternative embodiment, the metal deposit can be obtained by precipitation on the surfaces to be treated of a salt of tin, of silver or of another metal or of a metalloid accompanied by metal salts.
Another method consists of the evaporation under vacuum of aluminum or another pulverized metal and in the condensation of the vapors obtained on the surfaces to be treated.
The dimensions of the screen as well as its fixing, adjustment and orientation means are arbitrary and appropriate for its use, it can be used for this purpose any known and usual devices.
It is expressly understood that the invention is not limited exclusively to a screen of determined dimensions or to one or the other of the treatments described and applied to the constituent elements of the screen, said treatments being able to be applied in isolation. , together or in any combination.
