EMI1.1
D 0 NT - L- - EMB R&Y AGE t E T 19 DEBRAYAGE t S 0 NT.-."P'µ l4R, LA SURCHARGE.
Il existe des mécanismes d'accouplement dont l'embrayage et le dé- brayage sont régis automatiquement par la surcharge, dans lesquels, après le débrayage complet du mécanisme sous l'effet d'une surcharge la sortie reste soumise à une force motrice agissant dans le sens de déplacement suivi avant le débrayageoUn tel mécanisme peut être réalisé, par exemple, avec un or- gane auxiliaire qui transmet la force motrice, organe auxiliaire qui est re- lié à la sortie par l'intermédiaire de moyens élastiques et qui est couplé à l'entrée à l'aide d'un accouplement débrayable (accouplement moteur) qui., pendant le déplacement relatif;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

TRANSMISSION DEVICE -COMBING; A COUPLING MECHANISM,
EMI1.1
D 0 NT - L- - EMB R&Y AGE t E T 19 RELEASE t S 0 NT .-. "P'µ l4R, OVERLOAD.
There are coupling mechanisms in which the clutch and disengagement are automatically controlled by the overload, in which, after the complete disengagement of the mechanism under the effect of an overload, the output remains subjected to a motive force acting in the direction of movement followed before disengaging. Such a mechanism can be produced, for example, with an auxiliary organ which transmits the driving force, an auxiliary organ which is connected to the output by means of elastic means and which is coupled at the input using a disengageable coupling (motor coupling) which., during the relative movement;
, following the overload, of the auxiliary device and of the output, is disengaged in order to be engaged again when, for example, following removal of the overload, the output has returned to its initial position with respect to the auxiliary organ. To prevent the auxiliary member from moving back under the influence of the elastic force after disengaging the motor coupling, a coupling has already been inserted between the auxiliary member and a fixed part of the mechanism, which acts when the the engine coupling is disengaged.
The invention relates to a transmission device equipped with a coupling mechanism of the kind mentioned in the preamble.
It has been found that for certain applications, such a transmission device can give rise to a difficulty. When, under the effect of an overload, the coupling mechanism is disengaged, a driving force continues to act on the output. When the overload is removed, this motive force drives the output with the parts which are coupled to it by the intermediary of the transmission device. When this training is sudden, in the case of a not too great inertia of these parts, they can acquire
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
laugh at a speed greater than normal speed. This can cause the driven parts to run temporarily irregularly, which is undesirable in automatic telephony selectors and in combination shut-off mechanisms with locking discs and locking pawls.
The invention obviates this drawback.
The transmission device according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the input part and its output part are coupled not only by means of the coupling mechanism, but also by the coupling mechanism. via a freewheel coupling which automatically blocks movement of the exiting part relative to the entering part in the direction of travel in which the coupling mechanism reacts on an overload.
The overrunning clutch prevents the outgoing part of the transmission device from acquiring a speed greater than that which corresponds to the speed of the incoming part. As long as the speed of the outgoing part is smaller than or equal to that corresponding to the speed of the incoming part, the overrunning clutch is inactive and does not influence the operation of the transmission device. The overrunning clutch may be a claw coupling; however, preferably a coupling with rollers or wedging balls is used, since this has the advantage of not having practically any dead travel.
It may be desired to have the possibility of adjusting the outgoing part relative to the incoming part. When, in the coupling mechanism the coupling between the auxiliary member and a fixed part is ensured by an automatic coupling acting in only one direction, for example a coupling with jamming rollers, this prevents, when stopping the transmission device, \! a decline in the outgoing part. The freewheel coupling which, according to the invention, connects the entering part to the exiting part of the transmission device, prevents movement in the progressive direction. Also, according to the invention, is used in series with the freewheel coupling., A disengageable coupling.
The latter can be disengaged when, with the incoming part of the transmission device stopped, the outgoing part is adjusted in the positive direction. Preferably, this disengageable coupling is produced in the form of a claw coupling, one part of which can move against the pressure of a spring, in such a way that it does not touch the other. part.
The description which will follow with regard to the appended drawing, given by way of non-limiting example, will make it clear how the invention can be implemented, the particularities which emerge both from the text and from the drawing forming., Of course, part of said invention. invention.
The various parts of the coupling mechanism with automatic clutch and disengage, of the transmission device shown, are carried by the stationary axle 10. This axle bears from left to right, so that they can rotate, the following elements are gear 1, which forms the input part of the transmission device and at the same time, the input of the coupling mechanism, an auxiliary member 2, and a gear 3 which constitutes the output part of the transmission device. transmission and, at the same time, the output of the coupling mechanism. To the gear 1 is assembled the ratchet wheel 4, which is combined with a pawl 5. The pawl 5 is carried by the auxiliary member 2 which is connected, by one or more springs 6, to the gear 3 .
The latter carries the control means of the pawl 5, control means which are represented schematically by the pin 7. In the case of relative rotation of the auxiliary member and of the gear 3 which occurs during from an overload of the latter, the pawl 5 is lifted from the ratchet wheel 4. A recoil of the auxiliary member 2 which is then only subjected
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
to the effect of the springs 6, is prevented by a freewheel coupling, with jamming rollers 8. These rollers are located between the profiled periphery of the auxiliary member 2, and a cylindrical bearing surface of a fixed part 9, coaxia - the auxiliary member of the mechanism.
When removing the overload of the gear 3, the latter is driven by the springs 6 in the previous direction of rotation. The gear 3 therefore moves to its position initially occupied with respect to the auxiliary member, and therefore, the control means 7 bring the pawl 5 back into mesh with the ratchet wheel 4. This reestablishes the driving connection between the entering part and the outgoing part. The gear 3 is still conjugated with the gear 20 which is used in a way which will be described later for the fine adjustment of the gear 3 as well as the parts to be driven by it.
Next to the shaft 10, and parallel to it is the fixed bush 11. This bush carries a rotary gear which can slide in the longitudinal direction of the bush. This gear is combined with the gear 1. The gear 12 is connected, by means of a claw coupling 13, with the member 14 which rotates on the sleeve 11. This member is located in a cup-shaped hollow of the gear 15 which also rotates on the sleeve II and which meshes with the gear 3. Between the member 14 and the gear 15 there are pinch rollers 16 which form with the over- cylindrical inner face of the gear 15 and the inclined bottom of the notches formed at the periphery of the member 14, a freewheel coupling.
This coupling allows gear 15 to lag relative to member 14, but prevents this gear from catching up with member. As a result, it also prevents gear 3 from rotating faster than gear 1.
The gear 12 is provided with an internal circular groove 17 in which engages a pin 18 which enters two oblong openings 19 formed opposite each other in the wall of the sleeve 11. The pin 18 is fixed in the slide 30 which is located in the sleeve 11 and which is pushed to the right by a spring 21.
As a result of the combination of the spindle 18 with the wall of the groove 17 in the gear 12, the latter is kept pushed to the right, so that the two halves of the claw coupling are between the gear 12 and the member 14, meshing In the right part of the sleeve 11, can be pressed a pin 220 This pin can carry a gear 23 and a manual control button 24. By pushing the button 24 to the left , (arrow P), the gear 23 can be brought into engagement with the larger gear 20 which is connected to the gear 3 of the coupling mechanism
When driving in the pin 22, following the movement of the slide 30,
gear 12 is moved to the left by spindle 18 so that both halves of claw coupling 23 disengage. The rotation of the knob 24 makes it possible to adjust the gear 3 and the parts which it drives by hand, without the gear 3 being stopped, one is hampered by the blocking effect of the wheel coupling. free between the gear 15 and the member 14.
