<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

INJECTOR FOR HYGIENIC CARE.
The present invention relates to injectors for hygienic care which comprise a suction and delivery device inserted in a flexible pipe, one end of which is shaped as an injection cannula or intended to receive a cannula, and the other end is intended to be immersed in the liquid to be injected. Usually, the suction and discharge device consists of a suction-and-press rubber bulb which is operated by hand. The flow rate is low and intermittent and the handling of the bulb for a long time tires the hand. The object of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks by providing an injector the handling of which requires no effort and does not cause any fatigue, while having a continuous and preferably adjustable flow rate.
To this end, in the injector according to the invention, the rubber bulb is replaced by a small electric suction and circulator pump, the motor of which can be connected to a mains socket, and to which the pump is connected. suction pipe and discharge pipe.
The pump is preferably of the centrifugal type, and the motor is advantageously capable of rotating at different speeds, so that the speed and hence the output of the pump can be varied at will according to the power of the pump. desired injection.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention will be described below, with reference to the appended drawing, in which:
Fig. 1 is an overall view of an electric pump injector according to the invention, and
Fig. 2 is a view on a larger scale of the pump.
The injector shown in the drawing comprises a flexible hose of rubber or other suitable material, the two parts of which la, 1b are connected to the housing 2 of a small electric pump preferably having dimensions small enough to be able to be easily held in place. hand.
Of the centrifugal type, the pump comprises a rotor 3 actuated by a

small electric motor 4 whose shaft 5, on which the rotor 3 is mounted, crosses in a sealed way a partition separating the pump chamber 6 from the motor housing. Two connectors 7, 8 for the suction and delivery of the liquid, make the pump communicate with the two parts 1a, 1b of the pipe which are connected to these connections outside the casing 2.
The electric motor 4 can be connected to the mains by means of a flexible cord 9 fitted with a plug 10. It is fitted so that it can be turned at will at low speed and at high speed, by operating the switch handle 11, so as to modify the pump flow rate accordingly. One thus obtains the advantage of having an injector providing at will a moderate flow rate of liquid which is suitable for simple irrigations, and a large flow rate producing a powerful injection, desirable in certain cases.
Of course, the motor can also have only one speed, or even more than two speeds, which can be obtained for example by means of a rheostat making it possible to gradually vary the speed of the motor from a minimum to a minimum. maximum. Other modifications can obviously be made without departing from the scope of the invention.
CLAIMS l. - Injector for hygienic care, characterized in that it comprises a small electric suction and pressure pump interposed in a flexible pipe and intended to suck through one end of the pipe and discharge the liquid to be injected through the other end thereof.
