<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

PLUG.
The object of the present invention is an improvement of the socket-outlet described in the main patent no. Demo 35471. This improvement consists in the non-execution of an automatic male socket, which does not allow the devices to be left connected. 'use in case they are not powered
This new device has two main advantages. a) it automatically signals the fault in the appliance, hotly the faults invisible at first glance, for example the destruction of heating wires in the stoves etc ... b) it eliminates the danger of fire which can be caused by an interruption of the network current .., consumer devices.,
in particular small transportable electric stoves generally remaining connected to their socket and. moved at the time of the power failure.
Figures 1 to 6 show .., by way of example .., the device according to the object d9invention; Figures 1 and 2 being the longitudinal sections of the plug, Figures 3-4 the cross-sectional plan view Figure 5 the diagram of the connections in the plug, while Figure 6 is a perspective view the plug connected for example with a stove
The socket is made up of the frame 1 'preferably of insulating material with the contacts 13-14 and the screws 3-4 for fixing the cables.
Between the contacts 13-14 is arranged a small electromagnet consisting of 1 stirrup 5, the coil 12 through which the current to be checked OU.9 carries, supplied by the voltage between the contacts. This electromagnet acts on a movable armature 15 which can be engaged by a blade in the groove 10 made in the rod 9 supported by a powerful spring.11, housed in the hollow part of the base 2 made of insulating material.
The frame 15 is executed as a lever with two arms 15-6 articulated to the pivot 7 and supported by the spring 8 tending to move the frame 15 away from the

caliper pole pieces 5.
As a result, when there is no current in the coil 12, the armature 15 does not come into contact with the groove 10, the rod 9 thus released comes out of the plug as indicated. figure 5.
To engage the socket., Connected with a user device, the rod must be pushed inside. In the event that the current passes through the socket,, and consequently into the coil 12, the armature 15 is attracted by the electromagnet, engaging in the groove 10 and locking the rod 9 in the engaged position.
On the other hand, as soon as the current is interrupted, the rod 9 is freed from the movable armature released by the pressure of the spring 8 and pushes back the male plug of the female plug A small stud 16 can be provided in the frame of the male plug to block the mechanism locking the rod 9.
CLAIMS.
1) Current socket according to main patent n ........ application n 35471 of February 27, 19519 characterized in that an electromagnet housed in the socket, traversed either by the current or the voltage to be monitored, locks a mechanical element, preferably a rod used to push the male plug back from the socket when the current or voltage to be monitored is interrupted
2) Current socket according to main patent n ...... (application n 35471 of February 27, 1951) characterized in that the movable armature of the electromagnet housed in the frame of the male socket locks a rod supported by a spring, this rod serving to push the male rod back from the female rod.
