ROBINET ETANCHE.
Dans ce robinet, la surface de révolution du tournant n'est pas ajustée dans le corps-. ce corps comporte une cage cylindrique qui en est solidaire et qui;,, elle aussi;
L'étanchéité de ce robinet est donc assurée de façon totale, en position d'ouverture, par compression des bagues internes contre le tournant, d'une part, et contre le corps, d'autre part,, dans les orifices de la cage, cette compression étant d'ailleurs en rapport direct avec la pression du fluide;

Figo 1 est une vue en élévation du robinet en position d'ourver- ture, en coupe.. suivant 1-1 de la fig.2;

WATERPROOF TAP.
The present invention relates to a valve which can be used for all fluids, liquid or gaseous, at all operating pressures, and the construction of which is such that it is strictly sealed without showing any leak downstream or in line with the operating device. ,, the fluid circuit being cut or noto
In this valve, the surface of revolution of the turn is not adjusted in the body. this body comprises a cylindrical cage which is integral with it and which; ,, it also;
, is not adjusted on the rotating wheel.Two ori = fices are made in this cage, in line with the bores for the passage of the fluid in the body and each contain a sealing ring made of plastic, 9 thus being concentric with the outlet of said bores.
This valve comprises, in addition, in combination with the aforementioned rings, called internal, two other rings, \). said external ,, also made of plastic, but concentric at the turn, therefore having an orthogonal position with respect to the aforementioned internal rings,
These two outer rings are placed on either side of the sage and imprisoned under closing plugs integral with the body.
The tightness of this valve is therefore ensured completely, in the open position, by compressing the internal rings against the turn, on the one hand, and against the body, on the other hand, in the orifices of the cage , this compression being moreover directly related to the pressure of the fluid;
in the closed position, the sealing is ensured by compressing the outer rings against the turning, on the one hand, and against the body, on the other hand -. ,, by lotion of the pressure of the fluid which s' is transmitted ;, at the time of closure, in the residual space delimited between the inner and outer rings
To ensure the centering of the internal rings in the openings of the fixed cage, safety rings, made of rigid material, are fitted in said rings.

The invention will in any case be well understood -with reference to the accompanying drawing, given only by way of indication and in which.-
Figo 1 is an elevational view of the valve in the open position, in section according to 1-1 of Fig.2;
Fig. 2 is a plan view, in section, along 2-2 of Figo l; . @
Figo 3 is a cross section on 3-3 of Fig.2.
As this drawing shows, this ribinet is essentially made up of a hollow body l. fitted with the two usual connecting end pieces 2 and 3.
In this hollow body is mounted, by contraction, a cage of small thickness ±, provided in line with each of the end pieces 2 and ± with an orifice of greater diameter than that of the bores of said end pieces. In each of the aforementioned orifices is placed a ring, made of plastic 6, itself comprising inside it a ring 2 of rigid material forming a safety member and the inside diameter of which substantially corresponds to that of the bore of each end piece.
The distribution turntable 8. provided with the intercommunication bore .2 and a control 10, rotates in the cage 1 without being adjusted to its interior; it is therefore a fortiori not fitted in the bore of the body l.
On either side of the cage ¯4, and concentrically at the turn $ 'are placed two plastic rings 120
Finally, two plugs 13 force-fitted into the hollow body 1 ensure the sealing of this hollow body.
The rings 6 provide internal sealing, while those 12 provide external sealing.
The operation of this valve is established as follows and is easy to understand: in the open position, shown in the drawing, the pressure of the fluid is exerted on the inner rings 6 and ensures their support in the orifices of the cage ± by leaning them simultaneously against the body 1 and the turntable, 8- tightness is thus ensured, both upstream and downstream and increases with the operating pressure; -in intermediate position, that is to say when the transverse bore .2 of the turntable ..6 is straddling the internal rings 6 1-'residual space delimited by the external rings 12 is filled with pressurized fluid .
These rings 12 are therefore compressed in their housing by resting against the body 1 and against the turntable 8 and thus ensure the seal by replacing the rings 6 which only act by their own elasticity; -in the closed position (transverse bore 2.of the turntable 8 occupying the position shown in dotted lines (fig.2), the fluid circuit is copied. The upstream and downstream circuits of the valve are separated from the residual spaces 14, delimited between internal and external rings and connected by the bore 9 of the turning point 1 by the two internal rings 6; these residual spaces being thus at the upstream pressure, the internal ring situated upstream is floating and only acts by its elasticity.
If the downstream pressure is lower than that prevailing in the residual space, the downstream inner ring is compressed on its safety ring 1 which contains it. If, as a result of variations in use, the residual pressure prevailing between the outer rings 12 is greater than that upstream, a possible internal leak occurs. If this leak, which is moreover unimportant, does not occur, the internal ring 6 located upstream is pressed against its safety ring which contains it.
In the case of pressures below atmospheric pressure,

the operation of this valve is analogous to elui-Gi = over 9 under-reserved that it is necessary to provide for an inlet leakage 1, i to the right of the turning point, the balance of the latter being obtained by communicating by a chimney 16 the spaces delimited by the bouGhons..1.2 and the turning
Note that when the valve is in the closed position must

be removed 1 access to the fluid being interrupted in the Óa .. '1alisations> the turning can be brought into the open position to release the pressurized fluid which has remained trapped in the residual space

the invention is by no means limited to the only modes of
