VERBETERDE OPVOUWBARE STOEL.-
De onderhavige uitvinding heeft betrekking op een verbeterde opvouwbare stoel, zetel of soortgelijk gebruiksartikel.
Het voorwerp der uitvinding draagt in hoofdzaak als kenmerk dat het volmaakt stabiel is, 't is te zeggen dat, wanneer de stoel in zijn gebruiksstand is geplaatst en in gebruik is genomen, het zwaarte- punt zich ten opzichte van de basis volkomen symetrisch plaatst, hetgeen bij de totop heden bekende opbouirbare stoelen of zetels niet altijd bet geval is.
Het voorwerp der uitvinding wordt nader toegelicht door de hiernavolgende beschrijving van een paar uitvoeringsvoorbeelden die door de bijgaande tekening schetsmatig zijn voorgesteld.
De figuren 1 en 2 zijn vertikale doorsneden van een volgens de uitvinding verbeterde opvouwbare stoel;, respectief in zijn gebruiks- en in zijn opgevouwen stand.
De figuur 3 is een gedeeltelijke vertikale doorsnede van een soortgelijke stoel, hier echter met een houten zitvlak.
De figuur 4 is een perspectief zicht van de stoel volgens de figuren 1-2, aan de onderzijde gezien.
Volgens deze figuren bestaat het voorwerp der uitvinding es- sentieel uit twee "U"-vormig gebogen metalen buizen 1-2 die in het punt 3 aan elkaar draaibaar zijn bevestigd. De buis 1 draagt, ongeveer in 't midden der lengte van de langslopende takken van de "U"-vorm, een dwarsstaaf 4 die als steun- en draaipunt dient voor het achteruiteinde van het metalen of houten zitvlak, respectief 6 of 6;.Deze "U"-vormig gebogen buis 1 is bovenwaarts gedeeltelijk opgevuld door een plaatje 2 dat de rugleuning volledigt, terwijl zij onderwaarts voetjes 8 draagt die kunnen vervaardigd zijn uit hout, rubber, kurk, of in beginsel welk- danige geschikte stof.
Aan de onderzijde van het zitvlak 6 of 6' zijn aan weerszijden beugels.9 vastgehecht waarin een aan het bovenuiteinde d.er buis 2 vastgehechte "U"-vormige staaf 10 kan verschuiven.

Dit samenstel is nu derwijze ontworpen en uitgevoerd dat, wan- neer de stoel in zijn gebruiksstand is (figuren 1-3 en 4) het staafje 10 tegen het rechts uiteinde van de beugels drukt zodat de buizen 1-2 een volmaakte ondersteuning van het zitvlak verzekeren, en hierbij weze op- gemerkt dat hierbij het zwaartepunt van de stoel en de hierop zittende persoon minstens in-bij voorkeur een weinig achter- de door het kruis- punt 2 der buizen 1-2 lopende vertikale komt te liggen, hetgeen aan het samenstel een volmaakte stabiliteit verschaft.
Is de stoel buiten gebruik dan kan hij gewoon worden opgevouwen (figuur 2); hiervoor volstaat het, het vóbruiteinde van het zitvlak- 6 of 6' omhoog te trekken ; hetachteruiteinde 5 van het zitvlak 6 of 6' draait dan rond het dwarsstaafje 4 van de buis 1, terwijl het element 10 in de beugels ¯9 verschuift, en men de stand bereikt die door de figuur 2 is aangegeven.
De buis 2 draait dan binnenin de buis 1, en het samenstel is zijwaarts gezien totaal rechtlijnig en vergt zéér weinig plaatsruimte daar de dikte ervan praktisch deze der buizen 1-2 is.
Het spreekt vanzelf dat de hierboven beschreven uitvoerings- vormen slechts voorbeelden zijn die de uitvinding geenszins beperken. In- derdaad is het duidelijk dat aan het voorwerp der uitvinding allerhande vormen en afmetingen kunnen worden gegeven voor zover deze de stabiliteit van de verbeterde stoel of zetel, voorwerp der uitvinding, verzekeren.
Evenzo kunnen voor het vervaardigen van het voorwerp der uit- vinding in beginsel alle geschikte stoffen in aanmerking komen, al naar gelang het gewenst resultaat, de beoogde kostprijs...enz.
EISEN.
1. Opvouwbare stoel, zetel of soortgelijk voorwerp, daardoor gekenmerkt ,dat hij in hoofdzaak bestaat uit de combinatie van twee in langsrichting "U"-vormig doorgebogen metalen buizen welke in kruisvorm aan elkaar draaibaar zijn bevestigd, het bovenuiteinde der ene buis als rugleuning dienende en deze buis een dwarsstaaf dragend waarrond het achteruiteinde van het houten, metalen of uit welkdanige stof vervaar- digd zitvlak van de stoel draaibaar is, terwijl het bovenuiteinde van de tweede buis kan verschuiven in twee aan de onderzijde van het zitvlak van de stoel bevestigde leibeugels.
2.
