La présente invention se rapporte aux armoires et a pour but de.permettre la création d'un meuble qui puisse être utilisé soit comme armoire à deux portes occupant un emplace- ment relativement réduit, soit comme armoire à trois ou à quatre portes lorsque l'emplacement dont on dispose est plus important.
Elle a pour but aussi de faire en sorte que la trans- formation d'un type de meuble en l'autre type puisse se faire sans aucune complication.
A cet effet, le meuble, objet de l'invention, comprend une partie centrale dans laquelle peuvent être rentrés par cou- lissement un ou deux éléments d'armoire formant rallonges qui sont disposés, en position ouverte, dans le prolongement de la partie fixe de manière à donner naissance alors à un meuble à trois ou à quatre portes.
Les dessins ci-joints montrent à titre d'exemple com- ment l'invention peut être réalisée en pratique.

La figure 1 est une vue en élévation de face d'un meuble à quatre portes, les deux éléments formant rallonges étant en position ouverte.
La figure 2 est une vue en élévation de face du même meu- ble, ces rallonges étant en position rentrée.
La figure 3 est une vue en coupe transversale par la ligne III-III dans la figure 1.

Comme le montrent les dessins, le meuble objet de l'in- vention, comprend une partie centrale comportant notamment un plafond 1, un fond horizontal 2 (fig.3) et deux portes 3 et 4 pouvant pivoter par exemple au moyen de charnières sur des mon- tants 5 et 6.
Conformément à l'invention, on prévoit deux éléments d'armoire 7 et 8 qui sont munis chacun d'une porte 9 ou 10 et qui constituent des rallonges pouvant être glissées à l'intérieur de la partie fixe 1.
Chaque élément 7 ou 8 possède aussi notamment un plafond 11 et un fond horizontal 12.
Le coulissement des éléments 7 et 8 a lieu grâce à ce que les plafonds 1 portent chacun sur leur face supérieure et extérieure un coulisseau 13 qui peut se déplacer dans une glis- sière 14 portée par la partie centrale fixe.
Le fond 12 de chaque élément 7-8 est muni également d'un coulisseau 131 coopérant avec une glissière 141 portée par le fond 2.
D'autre part, à la partie supérieure de la partie 1, s'étend un tube 15 sur lequel peuvent glisser, d'une manière té- lescopique, des pièces tubulaires 16 portées par les éléments 7 et 8.
Dans ces conditions, on peut aisément transformer un meuble à quatre portes du type garde-robe du genre de celui- représenté par la figure 1, en une armoire à deux portes seulement

du genre de celle représentée par la figure 2.
Il suffit, à cet effet, d'enlever les portes 9 et 10 et de faire rentrer, comme expliqué, les rallonges 7 et 8 à l'intérieur de la partie 1.
On comprend que la transformation inverse peut s'effec- tuer tout aussi facilement.
En position rentrée des éléments 7 et 8, lemeuble pour- ra avoir l'aspect représenté à la figure 2, et pourra comporter une moitié servant d'armoire à linge (planches 17) et l'autre moitié d'armoire à vêtements, ces derniers étant alors suspendus au tube 16.
Il va de soi que l'invention est applicable aussi bien dans le cas où il n'y a qu'une rallonge que lorsqu'on en prévoit deux comme dans l'exemple représenté.

The present invention relates to cupboards and aims to allow the creation of a piece of furniture which can be used either as a two-door cupboard occupying a relatively small space, or as a three or four-door cupboard when the location available is more important.
It also aims to ensure that the transformation from one type of furniture to the other type can be done without any complications.
To this end, the piece of furniture, object of the invention, comprises a central part into which can be slid back one or two cabinet elements forming extensions which are arranged, in the open position, in the extension of the fixed part. so as to give birth to a piece of furniture with three or four doors.
The accompanying drawings show by way of example how the invention can be carried out in practice.

As shown in the drawings, the piece of furniture which is the subject of the invention comprises a central part comprising in particular a ceiling 1, a horizontal bottom 2 (fig. 3) and two doors 3 and 4 which can pivot for example by means of hinges on amounts 5 and 6.
According to the invention, two cabinet elements 7 and 8 are provided which are each provided with a door 9 or 10 and which constitute extensions which can be slid inside the fixed part 1.
Each element 7 or 8 also notably has a ceiling 11 and a horizontal bottom 12.
The sliding of the elements 7 and 8 takes place thanks to the fact that the ceilings 1 each carry on their upper and external face a slide 13 which can move in a slide 14 carried by the fixed central part.
The bottom 12 of each element 7-8 is also provided with a slide 131 cooperating with a slide 141 carried by the bottom 2.
On the other hand, at the upper part of part 1, extends a tube 15 on which can slide, in a telescopic manner, tubular parts 16 carried by elements 7 and 8.
Under these conditions, one can easily transform a cabinet with four doors of the wardrobe type of the type shown in Figure 1, into a cabinet with two doors only.

To do this, simply remove the doors 9 and 10 and fit, as explained, the extensions 7 and 8 inside part 1.
It will be understood that the reverse transformation can be carried out just as easily.
In the retracted position of the elements 7 and 8, the furniture may have the appearance shown in FIG. 2, and may include one half serving as a linen cupboard (boards 17) and the other half as a clothes cupboard, these the latter being then suspended from tube 16.
It goes without saying that the invention is applicable both in the case where there is only one extension and when two are provided as in the example shown.
