<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

"Spray apparatus for vaporizing solid wax".
The object of the invention is a novel apparatus specially designed with a view to being able to vaporize, respectively, project, inject and propel, for all useful purposes, wax called solid wax. We know that this problem is of great importance because until now, it has only been possible to use liquid wax by spraying. For solid wax, it was systematically considered that its use was excluded in numerous applications currently using liquid waxes. The apparatus according to the present invention therefore brings a considerable solid / added value to the outlets for wax.
The apparatus consists essentially of the combination of a receptacle capable of containing solid wax and comprising at least one heating element, generally electric, with a hand pump or syringe or any other similar apparatus.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
blable, capable of introducing into the apparatus a pneumatic pressure pressing on the liquefied wax of said receptacle so as to spray it or, more generally, to evacuate it from the receptacle by projection oriented in proportion to the starting mouth by the simple fact of clearing said mouthpiece more or less strongly.
The pump or similar device is removable and capable of releasing a relatively large orifice in the receptacle, through which the latter can be filled with solid wax which has been previously and temporarily liquefied, for example also by heating.
The heating element will preferably consist of at least one electrical resistance winding through the receptacle and terminating in a male or female outlet, fixed for example on the exterior wall of the receptacle. Above, the latter has a collar on which can, for example, be screwed the end of a hand pump. This carries to the right of this end, a valve allowing the displacement of the occluded air towards the receptacle, but opposing any return movement.
Opposite to said collar, the receptacle has a nozzle formed by a relatively narrow passage terminating in a small chapel controlled by an adjustment needle. In this way, it is possible to judiciously adjust the flow of the device or to stop it.
By means of these relatively very simple prescriptions, it is obviously possible to produce devices according to the invention in very different forms and with working conditions adaptable to each stage of practice.
By way of example, without any limiting nature, a preferred embodiment is shown diagrammatically in the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is an elevational view of the complete apparatus and Figure 2 is a longitudinal radial section.
In this preferred but non-restrictive embodiment, the apparatus is therefore composed of a body or chamber 1 in which
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the is disposed at least one electrical resistance 2, itself protected by a sheath 3, the resistance leading to a socket ±. Above, the body 1 is extended by a -collet 5 onto which one of the ends of the body of a hand pump is screwed. The junction is hermetic for which purpose a seal 2 is interposed between the contacting surfaces respectively of the collar 5 and of the pump body. The latter comprises a valve 8. The piston 2 of the pump is connected by a rod 10 to an operating handle 11.
At the other end, the body 1 is extended by a relatively narrow passage 12 terminating in the chapel 13 into which opens the starting orifice 14. The free passage is controlled by a needle 15 terminating a threaded rod 16 operable by a soft button 17. The starting orifice 14 opens into the actual mouth 18, which is thwarted by a core 19 having a helical groove. Finally, the wax is sprayed through the start port 20.
As can be easily understood, the use of such a device is extremely simple and efficient. Indeed, by releasing the collar 5 by unscrewing the pump, the body 1 can be partially filled with solid wax, momentarily liquefied, for example by heating. The wax, on cooling, solidifies again and therefore remains in this state as long as the apparatus is not put into use. To use the apparatus thus loaded normally, it suffices to carefully close the needle 15 in order to 'Hermetically obstruct the passage 12. The hand pump is acted on so as to introduce air into the free space above the mass of wax in the body 1.
In this way, the latter is placed under a more or less strong air pressure depending on the work to be done. Before, during or after this pumping, but in any case, when the device is used, it is connected, for example to the public electric current network. The wax contained in the container

background. It is then sufficient to open the needle 15 by operating the button 17 by judiciously orienting the starting orifice 20 of the device. By opening the needle 15 more or less strongly, the flow rate of the device can be adjusted correctly. By closing the needle 15, the flow is stopped. The maneuver is therefore extremely simple, easy and fast.
The apparatus therefore undergoes practically no fatigue and is therefore of repeated and rational use.
Obviously, the body 1 can be given any generally any shape compatible with the handling of the device. Likewise, the hand-pump could perfectly well be replaced by any other device capable of moving an air column, this device being able to be operated manually or be automatic. For example, a similar result would be obtained from a compressed air cylinder plugged or plugged into the body 1. Also, it is possible to equip the body 1 with several simultaneous or individual starting orifices; Finally, the different parts of the apparatus may be made from any material deemed suitable having regard to the products used and the required manipulations.
