<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Le support tel que 9 se compose d'une pièce inférieure 15 et d'une.pièce supérieure 16. La pièce inférieure 15 est fixée sur le tréteau 1 (voir figure 2) par un moyen quelconque, par exemple par soudure sur les tra- verses 1' et 1"; cette pièce 15 comporte en outre une rainure transversale 17 conformée pour recevoir les extrémités-11.et 13 des axes des rouleaux 2 et 3, en satisfaisant, aux....conditions d'orientation de ces axes tant dans .le plan vertical que dans le plan horizontal;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

for: BELT CONVEYOR ROLLER SUPPORTS.
In belt conveyors, the belt, which is used to transport the load, is supported from place to place by a trestle generally with three rollers: a substantially horizontal central roller, and two side rollers forming a very open V. These rollers are maintained on the trestle by means of four supports: two upper supports respectively supporting the upper ends of the axes of the rollers: lateral ows, and two lower supports respectively supporting, on the one hand, the ends of the central roller axle and on the other hand, the lower ends of the side roller axles.
With the lower supports currently in use on trestles, when removing the central roller (eg for a repair), this frequently results
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
improper removal of the side rollers. The lower supports forming the subject of the present invention avoid this drawback; they also allow the dismantling of a roller, without having to dismantle any other part: repairs are therefore carried out very conveniently and very quickly.
The support according to the invention is characterized in particular in that it comprises an upper part mounted so as to be able to be brought to three positions by longitudinal displacement, said upper part being provided, on the one hand, with clamping means for ensure the fixing of the ends of the axes of the rollers when it is in its intermediate position, and on the other hand, of two notches shaped and arranged so that when said upper part is either at one or at the Another of its extreme positions, one can remove either one or the other of the ends of the pins held by the support.
The invention will moreover be better understood with the aid of the appended drawing and the description relating thereto. from which will emerge, moreover, other particularities than those indicated above $
In this drawing: - Figures 1 and 2 show schematically, in elevation and in plan., A trestle of a conveyor belt.
- Figure 3 is a section of the support according to the invention, section II II 'magnified of Figure 2.
- Figures 4 and 5 show respectively, in plan the lower part and the upper part of the support Figure 3.
- Figures 6 and 7 show in perspective, respectively the upper part and the lower part

- of the support figure 3.
- Figure 8 is a variant of Figure 3.
- Figure 9 is a side view, along the arrow f in Figure 8.
In Figures 1 and 2, we see that the trestle 1 has three rollers: one. central roller 2 and two side rollers 5 and 4. These three rollers are held on the trestle by means of four supports: two upper supports 5 and 6 respectively supporting the ends 7 and 8 of the axes of the side rollers., and two lower supports 9 and 10 respectively supporting. * On the one hand, the ends 11 and 12 of the axis of the central roller, and on the other hand the lower ends 13 and 14 of the axes of the side rollers.
The invention relates to the lower supports 9 and 10 which, for simplicity, will be called supports in what will follow. A first variant of the support, according to the invention, is shown in Figures 3 to 7.
The support such as 9 consists of a lower part 15 and an upper part 16. The lower part 15 is fixed to the trestle 1 (see FIG. 2) by any means, for example by welding on the beams. verses 1 'and 1 "; this part 15 further comprises a transverse groove 17 shaped to receive the ends 11 and 13 of the axes of the rollers 2 and 3, while satisfying the ... orientation conditions of these axes both in the vertical plane and in the horizontal plane;
these conditions cause, in the example shown the inclination of the face 15. ' and the discontinuity of the groove 17 which behaves in fact known as two distinct notches 17 'and 17 ".
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The upper part 16 is made integral with the part 15 by means of two sights, not shown, passing respectively through longitudinal grooves 18 and 19, of the part 16, and screwed into the threaded holes 20 and 21 of the part 15 . In the notches 17 'and 17 "come to engage respectively the ends 13 and II of the axes of the rollers 3 and 2, ends which are flush with the upper part of the part 15, so that when the part 16 is in its intermediate position, the tightening of the screws in engagement with the threads 20 and 21, causes the fixing of the ends 13 and II ..
The part 16 is provided on the other hand with two notches 22 and 23, shaped and arranged so that when the part 16 is either at one or the other of its extreme positions, it is possible to remove either the end It is the end 13 of the roller shafts; Trely said: when the notch 22 is brought above the notch 17 ', we bridge remove the end 13; and when the notch 23 is brought above the notch 17 ", the end 11 can be removed.
Under these conditions, to remove a roller, the central roller for example, it suffices to loosen the clamping screws of part 16, to slide this part longitudinally until the notch 23 is above the notch. 17 ", perform the same operation on the other support (10, figures 1 and 2), the central roller can then be removed for upward movement. It will be noted that no part has been removed. and that the side rollers 3 and 4 do not run the risk of escaping, since, for example, with regard to the roller 3, the notch 22 is not located above @
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the notch 17 ', the part 16 opposes the exit of the end 13 ..
According to another variant of the invention, shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, the tightening of the ends 13 and II is carried out using a single central screw and a tilting part of the lifter distributing the clamping force. on both ends. To this end, the upper part 16 is further provided with a central groove 24 in which the lifter 25 is housed; this is tightened on the ends 15. and II by the central screw 26.
In this variant, the upper part 16 is held on the lower part 15 by the two rivets 27 and 28.
A clearance is reserved under the head of these rivets, so that when the central screw 26 is loosened, the part 16 can be moved in the direction of the grooves 18 and 19, as in the previous variant. It will be noted, moreover, that in the variant in FIGS. 8 and 9, the notches 17 'and 17 "do not open into one another, which makes it possible to use the bases 17'A and 17 "Has these notches as end stops 13 and 11.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the examples described or shown, and numerous variant embodiments can be envisaged without departing from its scope. On the other hand, the supports according to the invention can be used on types of trestles other than that shown by way of example; in particular, they can. serve as a central support on the trestles co comprising .sonly two rollers, V-shaped to support the band.
